Bram And Alice premiered on CBS on October 6, 2002. Almost ready to give up on her dream of becoming a writer in the Big Apple, eager young Alice O'Connor receives the shock of her life when she discovers that her biological father is actually Bram Shepherd, renowned author of a great American novel that is required reading on every college campus. So she sets out to meet the man whose DNA she shares-only to find out that he's a womanizing, egocentric, debt-ridden burnout who hasn't written anything decent in 30 years. Still, after a shaky introduction, they both resolve to try to make a go of the father-daughter thing and stay together for a while. At least it's a start.
