Celebrity Rehab EpisodesSeason 3

Back To Pazsaz Entertainment Network's Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew Page

  • Intake
Addiction specialist Dr. Drew returns for a third season of Celebrity Rehab to once again face the intense task of helping a new group of celebrity patients in their quest for sobriety. As the patients check in, Dr. Drew first lands them at the Pasadena Recovery Center, and then meets with them individually to examine the role that their addictions play in their lives. With issues ranging from dramatic abuse to severe denial, Dr. Drew discovers that this may be the toughest rehab yet.

  • Detox
Dr. Drew's patients are just beginning the treatment process, and as many of them are life-long drug users, the physical effects of detox are severe for many of the addicts. Mike Starr is having the most severe withdrawal, which is causing him to become confused and act out towards the staff. Then later in process group, the patients reveal their lowest points, and we see one of the many consequences of Dennis Rodman's alcohol abuse.

  • Dealing With The Past
While the detox process is painful and difficult for all the patients, most are making it through without complications, until Mindy McCready suffers an intense seizure and is taken to the hospital. Heidi Fleiss exposes to the group that she spends most of her time alone with birds in the desert, while Dennis shares that he hosts parties in his home for hundreds of people every night. Tom Sizemore finally arrives for treatment, but before Dr. Drew can fully admit him, Tom leaves against Dr. Drew's wishes.

  • New Patients
As the first week of treatment comes to an end, Tom begrudgingly decides to return to the Pasadena Recovery Center, followed by his girlfriend Monroe, who is suspected of having brought drugs onto the unit. As the physical effects of detox begin to wane, the emotions that caused the patients to use drugs in the first place begin to emerge. Dr. Drew sets up an expressive-therapy exercise that helps Joey Kovar & Mackenzie Phillips explore anger from their childhoods. Then, a former patient reaches out to Dr. Drew for help.

  • Loss
Kari Ann Peniche arrives at the Pasadena Recovery Center to begin treatment, and it's not long before her demanding personality offends the other patients. In process group, Tom shares that he is homeless, news that shocks Heidi who once lived with him in a seven million dollar home. Dr. Drew takes the addicts to a very emotional Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) meeting, where they learn that their addictions can cost them and their loved ones much more than fame and fortune. Dr. Drew becomes convinced that Tom's girlfriend Monroe endangers his ability to remain sober, and he convinces Tom to help get her into rehab, but when Dr. Drew and Tom meet with Monroe, things don't go as planned.

  • Triggers
Although Tom Sizemore nearly leaves the unit with his girlfriend Monroe, she finally agrees to treatment and they both decide to stay. Past alumni successes from Celebrity Rehab return to encourage the patients to remain sober. The visit proves successful, as recovering alcoholic Brigitte Nielsen helps Dennis come to terms with his own alcoholism. In process group, the patients see a softer side to Kari Ann, however, she verbally attacks Mackenzie Phillips. Later, Mackenzie gets a call from her veterinarian informing her that her dog is dying of old age, and Dr. Drew helps her work through the emotions as she puts the dog to sleep.

  • Family Weekend
Dr. Drew sees that Mike seems to be progressing through treatment, however he is still harboring guilt over the death of Layne Staley, his best friend and former lead singer of Alice in Chains. Dr. Drew invites the addicts and their families to a lake house for a group session to discuss the importance loved ones play in the recovery process. Kari Ann's brothers reveal they no longer trust her due to her lying to them while actively addicted to drugs. Lisa D'Amato's sister expresses guilt for not having done more to save her from sexual abuse during their childhood. Later, at a dinner meant to celebrate the group and their family members, Heidi becomes distressed and leaves treatment. The dinner continues without her, and Mindy McCready performs a song that stirs up a lot of emotions for the group.

  • Acting Out
Kari Ann and Mike engage in a lewd act that shocks the group and threatens their stay in treatment. Meanwhile Bob Forrest tracks down Heidi Fleiss in Nevada, and he eventually convinces her to return to treatment. As rehab nears an end, the patients become apprehensive about their ability to stay sober outside the safety of rehab, and many wrestle with the idea of continuing their journey in sober living. The pressure proves too much for Kari Ann, and she storms out of treatment.

  • Graduation
Kari Ann returns to treatment, and at the final process group patients write emotional goodbye letters to their addictions and consider if they will continue on in sober living or not. At the graduation ceremony, Dr. Drew speaks to everyone and their loved ones to congratulate the patients for successfully completing treatment. They are released to the outside world - however, Dr. Drew sternly warns them that sobriety is easy in a confined environment such as the Pasadena Recovery Center, so they must remain strong and be in control out there in the real world.
