After a three-night premiere, the remaining 14 pairs only had four days to learn a new dance (the jive, tango or quickstep). The 14 couples get cut to 13 as a third celebrity gets ousted on Dancing with the Stars through a new elimination format. The remaining 13 couples take on either the rumba or samba. The remaining 13 couples get cut down as one more pair is eliminated. The 11 couples take on four new dances on Dancing with the Stars: the bolero, Charleston, lambada or the country two-step. After a night of four new dances, one more couple is sent packing on Dancing with the Stars. The fifth week of performances features the Argentine tango and the paso doble. The sixth week of performances includes the waltz, the jitterbug and a group mambo routine. The sixth-round results show features a double elimination, with the second elimination being the result of a dance-off. Also: performances by Taylor Swift and Tiempo Libre. The remaining seven couples faced off in team dances - Team Tango vs. Team Paso Doble - for extra points on top of their main dances. Two more couples get the boot on Dancing with the Stars' second (and final) week of double-eliminations. Dancing with the Stars' remaining five couples face double the pressure this week, as they each perform two main dances. The eighth-round results show. Included: performances by Michael Buble and Susan Boyle. Also: DanceCenter with Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice and Stacy Keibler; and the Design-a-Dance performance with Sabrina Bryan and a male professional dancer. Dancing with the Stars' semifinal action sees the final four hit the floor with three individual dances: two new ones and a previously prepared knockout dance. The ninth-round results show. Included: performances by Alicia Keys; Leona Lewis; and Barry and Robin Gibb. Also: a themed dance celebrating the film "Nine"; and a dance from Melissa Rycroft. The 10th and final week of performances. A winner is announced.
