The Electric Barbarellas  premiered on MTV on May 4, 2011. The Electric Barbarellas are five girls just trying to get their stuff together. Yes, they sing. And they dance. And of course, they are sexy. But that's where the similarities to other girl groups end. Because for every two steps forward they take, they take three back. Based on the real-life exploits of an all-girl electronic pop band trying to make it in Hollywood, the show will follow these larger-than-life starlets as they try to stay focused and out of each other's way - It's gonna be a long road to the top!
