The first episode introduces the designers, who meet hosts Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland. Fashion dignitary Fern Mallis appears as a series judge. Designer Elie Tahari is the guest judge. All The Bang, Half The Bucks The fashion mavens square off by styling two dress forms, one economical and the other without budgetary constraints. Later, they develop various outfits for socialite and fashionista Tinsley Mortimer, who also serves as the guest judge. Trick Up Your Sleeve The clothiers hem in on a relay race that tests their repair skills. Then, in a collaborative challenge, they must create coats that are appropriate for all four seasons. Designer Norma Kamali acts as the guest judge. The Shoe Must Go On There's no business like shoe business when the remaining clothiers create a new print for eco-friendly footwear. Later, they must perfect an outfit to complement a pair of high-fashion shoes. Fashion figure George Malkemus is the guest judge. Shape Shifters The designers face off in two challenges. The winner of the elimination challenge has his/her designs sold for retail, while one is sent home. Mean Girls The designers are going back to school and both the Harper's Bazaar mini challenge and the elimination challenge will put their knowledge to the test. The designs, inspired by different high school cliques, will be displayed in this week's fashion show and graded on its wear-ability and appeal. On The Job Actress and fashionista Becki Newton stops by to present the Harper's Bazaar mini challenge and find a solution for an age-old dilemma, the "walk of shame." Challenged to turn last night's party outfit into work appropriate attire, the contestants get crafty with anything and everything one would normally find in an office. For the elimination challenge, the designers are taken to a surprise location and find themselves working for a major force in the fashion industry. Ode To La Mode The designers turn to the past to create complete outfits inspired by fashion-world icons, such as Dior and Halston. Fashion designer Peter Som is the guest judge. It's In The Cards The couture club design robes and loungewear. Later, they visit a tarot-card reader in a meeting that may affect their elimination-round design. Fashion designer Vivienne Tam serves as guest judge. Blood, Sweat And Sparkle The lasting clothiers take on a difficult design skill - draping. Later, crystals play a crucial role when the designers produce a sparkling red-carpet gown. Fashion figures Isabel Toledo and Glenda Bailey are the guest judges. Finale, Part 1 The still-standing designers compete in Part 1 of the two-part finale. The ultimate winner scores $125,000. Finale, Part 2: Results Show The winning designer is selected in the conclusion of the two-part Season 1 finale.
