    When newly single Lily takes off for San Francisco, Ted, Barney and Robin do their best to cheer up a dejected and depressed Marshall. Despite the support of his pals, Marshall suffers a set back when he thinks Lily is back in New York.

    When Lily returns to New York, she shares tales with Robin and Ted of her fun and amazing summer out west, but eventually Ted sees through her act and Robin is surprised to discover why Lily really came back to New York.

  • Brunch
    When Ted, Robin and the gang spend the weekend with his parents, Ted is stunned when a family secret that changes things forever is unveiled at brunch. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily find it difficult to control themselves when they are forced to spend time together with Ted's parents.

  • Ted Mosby: Architect
    After a fight in which Robin insinuates that Ted's job is boring, Barney sets out to convince his buddy otherwise. As the guys test out the pick-up line, "Ted Mosby, Architect" on the ladies, they realize it really works. But when Robin hears that Ted is parading around town picking up girls, she is hot on his heels to discover the truth.

  • World's Greatest Couple
    After Lily begs Barney for a place to stay, he concedes, but as they take their relationship to the next level, Barney is petrified that Lily has fully stripped him of his singlehood. Meanwhile, Marshall starts to enjoy fun couple activities with another man.

  • Aldrin Justice
    Barney comes to the rescue when he tries to satisfy Marshall's sexy, older and newly divorced law professor in the bedroom so she stops taking her divorce out on her class. Meanwhile, Lily takes a job at Ted's company and tries to teach the boss a lesson after he is mean to Ted. After seeing the extent that Lily is willing to go for him, Ted is inspired to pitch his own idea.

  • Swarley
    Ted and Barney convince Marshall to go on his first post-break-up date with the girl from the coffee shop, however, when they get a better look at her, they determine that she has crazy eyes and urge Marshall to ditch her. Meanwhile, when Lily hears the news of Marshall's date and steals a look at the pretty girl, Lily ends up being the one who's crazy.

  • Atlantic City
    When Marshall and Lily finally decide that marriage is what they both want, but on a smaller, less complicated scale, they head off to Atlantic City to elope with Barney, Ted and Robin by their side. However, wedding bells are temporarily silenced when a series of misadventures stand in Marshall and Lily's way.

  • Slap Bet
    Curious about Robins distaste for shopping malls, Barney does some digging and discovers her hidden past. When he unveils the embarrassing truth to the gang, they cannot believe what they see and hear Robin doing and are provided with endless hours of amusement from their new discovery about her teenage years.

  • Single Stamina
    When Barney's brother James, his single partner in crime, comes to visit, Barney must deal with some shocking and devastating news which forces him to face his fears of possibly living the bachelor life alone.

  • How Lily Stole Christmas
    As hopes of a beautiful Christmas together with friends slip away, Ted must figure out how to make amends with Lily before Marshall arrives home to see that his "grinch-of-a-fiance" really has stolen Christmas.

  • First Time In New York
    As Robin tries to talk her sister out of making a bad decision, she must face her own relationship fears. Meanwhile, they all tell funny stories about their first, but Barney tells the most outlandish. After he shares several entertaining versions, all mirroring scenes from hit movies, he finally gives up the true story.

  • Columns
    After verbally emasculating Marshall for the nude Lily painted of him in college, Barney soon changes his tune and asks Lily to paint him. Meanwhile, Ted struggles to fire a difficult employee, who happens to be his former boss.

  • Monday Night Football
    When the group's grand Super Bowl Sunday plans fall through, Ted is determined to salvage the day and get everyone together to watch the game one day later. In what seems to be an impossible feat, Barney, Ted, Robin, Lily and Marshall try to get through the entire day without finding out the outcome of the biggest game of the year.

  • Lucky Penny
    After a complex string of unfortunate events impact Ted and the gang-from Marshall's injured toe keeping him out of the marathon, to Barney running in his place and the resulting aftermath-Ted concludes that the stray coin changed more than just his luck and that it was his destiny to pick up that penny.

  • Stuff
    After Ted puts up a fight, he finally concedes and gets rid of the stuff. When he learns that Robin is also holding on to some things from her ex-boyfriends, she must decide what to do. Meanwhile, after Barney is forced to attend Lily's play, he puts on one of his own and forces Lily and the gang to attend.

  • Arrivederci, Fiero
    When Marshall's prized 1988 Fiero breaks down, he must decide if his "baby" is worth getting fixed or if she is at the end of the road. While they all have strong emotional ties to the vehicle, Marshall eventually realizes that sometimes it is time to let go.

  • Moving Day
    When moving day arrives for Ted, the rental truck containing all of his belongings mysteriously disappears. As a result, Ted is forced to spend what is supposed to be his first night living with Robin, with Barney who tries to convince Ted of all of the reasons he should not make this a permanent move.

  • Bachelor Party
    After Barney ruins Marshall's bachelor party plans, Lily reveals a shocking secret about Barney that causes Marshall to rethink who his best man should be.

  • Showdown
    Barney is ecstatic about his appearance on the "The Price Is Right" because he has wanted to meet Bob Barker his entire life.

  • Something Borrowed
    By the time their wedding day arrives, nothing seems to be the way Marshall and Lily had envisioned, but surprisingly Barney jumps in to try to save their special day.

  • Something Blue
    When Barney overhears that Ted and Robin have a secret at the wedding reception, he begins to speculate about what it might be, but what they are hiding even stuns the unflappable Barney.
