Meanwhile, 22-year-old Steph Custance learns whether she'll be driving for Polar. The Rookie A young driver undertakes her first ice-roads mission; temperatures soar as Alex hits a road block; Art turns diplomatic as he attempts a delivery to a new remote community; and Darrell drives an unregulated road. Bridge To Nowhere A trail called the obstacle course is faced; a struggle to clear a melting ice bridge is undertaken; a taxed Polar veteran hauls an oversize fuel tank; and a driver hits an ice crossing late at night. Into The Fire A Polar rookie undertakes her first solo trip, braving one of the longest ice crossings on the winter-roads map; a driver attempts a single-day, triple delivery; an engine fire stops a trucker in her tracks; and Polar's top dog celebrates a birthday stuck on the edge of a closed road. Hell Nino A truck needs to be fixed or left stranded 100 miles from the nearest town; a driver faces a creek that's thawed in the middle of the road; a Polar pilot on an important run receives potentially devastating news; and a route runner tackles an ice crossing unlike any she's encountered all season. The Convoy With the record short season ending, the Polar boss engages in an epic deal with two rivals, joining up for a four-truck convoy over a closed road. A driver tries to complete a long trail in the final hours, while another's truck gives out on the ice. The Final Ride The four-truck convoy faces fire and a crossing where they must test the ice thickness themselves; Art Burke's engine dies, so he returns to Winnipeg with Alex Debogorski over a trail that damages the old pro's truck.
