  • Pilot
After coming out of the woods and found walking into traffic, Kyle is sent to a youth detention center where he comes into contact with his first experience of eating food and human interaction: not all of it friendly. At the center they realize that Kyle is not like any ordinary teenager, especially once they find that he is missing his belly-button. Psychologist Nicole Trager is called in to help get some much needed answers. After a couple of hours with Kyle, Nicole realizes that he can not survive in the institution and needs special attention, so she decides to bring him home to keep a closer eye on him. The rest of the Trager family is not as welcoming of Kyle, seeing him as just another one of Nicole's special projects. Her husband Stephen doesn't want his wife to get too attached to Kyle, while her teenage daughter Lori and son Josh see him as a freak that can only hamper their social lives. Soon the family starts to see that Kyle has some unique abilities and an uncanny way of completing two hour IQ tests in 5 minutes with perfect scores. He encounters everyday activities such as video games, drawing and music with a wide-eyed wonder and a thirst for more knowledge.

  • Sleepless In Seattle
The concept of time and sleep eludes Kyle and he wonders why those around him are so tied to the numbers on their watches and clocks. He watches the Tragers run in and out based on what time it is and wonders why the rush since all we have is time on our hands. What amazes him the most is when the family shuts down every night, especially since Kyle hasn't slept a minute since he was found. The Tragers are convinced that sooner or later Kyle has to sleep and decides to use every trick in the book: running, drinking hot tea, sleeping pills, taking a hot bath, etc. But when nothing seems to work, Kyle's insomnia starts to take a toll on the family, especially Nicole and Stephen. Has Kyle overstayed his welcome or will the Trager family finally find something that will put an end to his insomnia?

  • The Lies That Bind
The mystery surrounding Kyle heats up when a skeleton is discovered in the woods. The body was found not just anywhere in the woods, but right next to the spot where Kyle was found. With a suspicion that Kyle may have a link to or know something about the unidentified skeleton Detective Breen calls Nicole to notify her and try to enlist Kyles help on gaining any leads to this case. Could Kyle be linked to this new discovery or does the stranger following him have something to do with it? Beside the discovery of the skeleton, Kyle is having a difficult time trying to navigate through the complex world of lies. There are big lies, small lies little white lies and lies that don't hurt and each member of the Trager family is telling some kind of lie and Kyle is stuck in the middle of it all.

  • Diving In
The intensity of the mystery man following Kyle is exposed, when a name to the face is revealed. Tom Foss, the mystery man, is discovered by his old boss to have a key card that doesn't match his original company provided card, but rather a card to an employee who has been missing for weeks. When the boss decides to use the opportunity to blackmail Tom about why he has the missing man's card and what he is really up to, Foss takes matters into his own hands... his deadly hands. Meanwhile, love, lust and romantic feelings are sweeping the Trager household with all three kids involved in their own romantic predicaments. But as quickly as he sneaks in, he quickly leaves totally undetected. Meanwhile, it is the first day of high school for the Trager kids and the only one excited to go is Kyle. After a rough night of nightmares, Kyle is troubled about his lack of knowledge and begins to wonder if he will ever find out who he really is. His anger and frustration only builds when Josh's secret Kyle notebook, chronicling the alien-like traits Kyle has, is found. With everyone's theories and now the nightmares, Kyle becomes determined to find out who he is and where he comes from. His curiosity is piqued even more after a chance encounter with Tom Foss, whom he strangely recognizes. Meanwhile, Lori is dismayed that the rainstorm is keeping her cooped up in the house with Declan. After questioning him why he is really at the Trager house, Declans family secrets start to come out.

In her search, she comes across information about a professor named Dr. Kern and his work with brain power. Nicole's search leads her to a book, written by Dr. Kern, about his study of human brain activity that leads her to believe Dr. Kern has something to do with Kyle's past and possibly the murder. Meanwhile, Josh realizes Kyle has abnormal skills at basketball and uses it to his advantage to make some quick cash. Once Kyle joins the school basketball team, Lori also takes advantage of the situation to get closer to Declan, who is also on the team.

  • Memory Serves
Kyle is becoming desperate for information about his past and everyone in the Trager family is taking notice. When Declan provides an opportunity to search for Professor Kern, Kyle and Lori join him on the search, all unbeknownst to Stephen and Nicole. Once having arrived at the University of Washington, Kyle stumbles upon Kern's lab and some information about a former student Kern had named Adam, who just happens to have a remarkable resemblance to Kyle. Who is this Adam Baylin and what answers could he hold? Is this the key piece of the puzzle that he has been searching for? Kyle is determined to find out. Meanwhile, the trip to the University of Washington also gives Lori and Declan insights to their own life. After Lori makes a new male friend, Declan realizes that he is done playing games with Lori and that he may truly care about her, more than he has been willing to admit.

  • Overheard
After he realizes he has a super sense of hearing and the ability to read lips, Kyle and Declan stake out Fosss apartment in hopes that Kyle can hear something through the door that might shed some more light to the mystery. But what they find may be too much for the boys to comprehend and Kyle realizes that he might be in over his head. Kyle and Declan aren't the only ones following Foss. Cyrus Reynolds, an employee from an unidentified company who is hunting after Kyle, is hoping that Foss will lead him straight to Kyle. But with Kyle also on Fosss tail, it doesn't take long for Cyrus to get Kyle in his sights. Has Kyle's search for his past taken a deadly turn for him and possibly the Tragers?

  • Endgame
The rollercoaster ride for Kyle and Tragers isn't over after the scare at the carnival when a couple claiming to be Kyle's parents show up at the hospital to take him home with them. After hearing the Petersons' story of who he is, Kyle isn't completely convinced and Declan takes the hunt into his own hands as he tracks down Foss demanding answers.
