    When the President approves Henry's reactivation into the NSA, he lies to Elizabeth about his continued involvement in the spy game. Meanwhile, Matt and Daisy's antagonism toward one another begins to affect the entire office.

    Elizabeth, Henry and Isabelle work together to find former Secretary of State Vincent Marsh's secret bank account, but soon uncover that one of Elizabeth's staff members already has access to it.

    When a Texas state trooper is killed by a Mexican cartel smuggler, Elizabeth arranges an extradition deal before going on vacation to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary in New York City. However, when political issues arise around the case, she is forced to cut their trip short. Also, Elizabeth's son injures himself while Blake is watching him.

    Elizabeth pushes for the prosecution of a Bahraini diplomat after he is caught holding a maid hostage in his home. Also, Henry's father comes to visit.

    Elizabeth secretly travels to Iran in an attempt to thwart a coup that could impact President Dalton's administration. She also updates her staff on the investigation into Marsh's death.

    Elizabeth struggles to hold herself together emotionally following the attack in Iran; at the same time, she's working to prevent an ecological disaster in the Amazon and preparing for a national television appearance on "Face the Nation." Meanwhile, at home, she and Henry disagree about the level of protection Jason should receive at his new school.

    A congressman is taken hostage while attempting to negotiate with the leader of a doomsday cult in Bolivia; Elizabeth and Henry are introduced to Stevie's much older boyfriend.

    Elizabeth works with President Dalton to solve the Greek debt crisis, but not everyone in Washington finds the fruits of their collaboration pleasing. Meanwhile, Henry has a new job offer to consider; and Stevie reignites a friendship with the president's son.

    Elizabeth finds herself navigating a difficult political situation when a Russian nuclear submarine vanishes in American waters; at the same time, Henry, coincidentally, is in Russia giving a lecture on fundamentalism. On the home front, Stevie breaks up with her older boyfriend.

  • The Kill List
    Elizabeth sees a therapist to deal with her PTSD; at the same time, she prepares for the president of Iran to sign a nuclear treaty; and works to foil a secret plot to assassinate the Iranian leader on U.S. soil. Meanwhile, the Secretary of State's office need to address a massive outcry over Iran's plan to stone to death a gay citizen.

  • There But For The Grace Of God
    Elizabeth flashes back to when she turned down a job offer by then-CIA Director Dalton that would have changed the course of her life; at the same time, she confronts former friend-turned-traitor Juliet. Elsewhere, Stevie and Harrison enter into a relationship with consequences.
