Melissa & Joey EpisodesSeason 1

Back To Pazsaz Entertainment Network's Melissa & Joey Page

  • Pilot
Mel is the grown-up former wild child of a political family who is now a local politician herself. When her sister ends up in prison and brother-in-law flees after a scandal hits, Mel must take responsibility for her teenaged niece, Lennox, and adolescent nephew, Ryder. Spread too thin to manage by herself, help comes in the unlikely form of Joe who, desperate for a job, moves in and becomes the family's "manny."

  • Moving On
Both Mel and Joe experience issues in their love lives. While Joe is reluctant to move on after the break-up of his marriage, Mel attempts to start a new relationship, but finds it tough being a single woman with Joe living in her house. Meanwhile, Mel must jump into "mom" mode when Lennox has a difficult time adjusting to the new public school.

  • Nanny Love
As Joe comes to terms with his divorce and begins to settle into the idea of being a "manny," he decides it may be a good opportunity to date. He soon discovers, however, women aren't exactly drawn to male nannies. Mel, not wanting to see Joe upset, mainly because she doesn't want her gourmet meals to stop, sets him up by deceiving a former sorority sister about his occupation. Joey's in on the ruse, but will they be able to keep up the charade?

  • Boys Toys 'R' Us
Being a single woman with two teenagers and a manny living in the house can be difficult, as Mel quickly discovers after a friendly bartender with an accent catches her eye, sending her into a whirlwind romance. Meanwhile, Lennox is dating a bad boy, and though Mel tries to convince Lennox he is no good for her, can she even follow her own advice when it comes to matters of the heart? Joe, in the meantime, decides to take on the massive project of reorganizing Mel's chaotic closet and helps her realize it's ok to let go of possessions from the past as long as the memories are still there.

  • The Perfect Storm
Mel discovers that Lennox is failing one of her classes, so Joe encourages her to lay down the law. But when Mel's dad, former Senator Burke, comes to town, he lures the kids to break the rules. After he invites Lennox to come live with him in DC, Mel and Joe attempt to use some reverse psychology to get her to do the right thing.

When the businessman's son arrives in his place and speaks no English, Joe has to translate between the two. When the Japanese businessman develops a romantic interest in Mel, Joe sabotages the translation. Meanwhile, Lennox is forced to work with her ex-best friend on a school project, and Ryder tries to mediate.

  • Joe Versus The Reunion
After debating whether to show his face after the tumultuous year he's had, Joe ultimately decides to go to his 10-year college reunion. On the same evening, per the Mayor's request, Mel goes out to dinner with an artist to discuss bringing his installations to Toledo. But when Mel gets a call from a depressed Joe at his reunion, she rushes over there to surprise him by posing as his girlfriend and save the day - only to realize that in the meantime, Joe has found and reconnected with an old flame. At first Tony is little more than a nuisance, but Mel changes her views on him once she sees what a wonderful photographer he is. Things take a different turn once some photos Tony shoots of Mel wind up on the Internet.

  • Teacher/Teacher
After Ryder gets a bad grade on his history paper, Joe talks to the teacher, Mr. McKay, in hopes of raising his grade, but manages to only make things worse. Distressed at how upset Ryder gets with him, Joe goes back to the teacher to sort things out. Meanwhile Mel tries to be the "cool aunt" by taking underage Lennox to a concert.
