  • The Pilot Episode Sanction
Wendy Watson is a 22 year-old art school graduate struggling to stay afloat at a series of dead-end temp jobs. Living with her best friend Lacey in an illegal sublet, she bounces from one temp job to another while putting off her mother's daily inquiries to what she is going to do with her life. Wendy's situation takes a drastic turn during a routine temp assignment at a local laboratory, when she is thrown into the middle of a science experiment gone very wrong. If that weren't bizarre enough, who should show up to save the day, but a mysterious, handsome, gun-wielding stranger who introduces himself only as The Middleman. A covert hero who neutralizes any and all danger humanity isn't prepared to face, the milk-drinking, ruggedly wholesome Middleman is in need of a new colleague in the fight against otherworldly evil and thinks Wendy fits the bill. After a series of tests that would make grown astronauts weep and Navy Seals beg for mercy, Wendy is quickly recruited into the Middleman ranks. Now fighting comic book-esque criminals under the guidance of her new boss, Wendy tries to wrap her head around the new and definitely weird situation. But the Middleman is sure she can do the job, even though his cranky robot assistant Ida questions his choice every step of the way. Soon Wendy learns that there will always be another unfathomable peril to contain and focusing on her painting will be easier said than done. Now living a double life, can Wendy balance an undercover Middleman mission with "normal" life in her offbeat circle of artist friends?

  • The Accidental Occidental Conception
When a Terra Cotta Warrior is brought back to life, The Middleman and Wendy set out to stop him before he can take the last living heir of the Qin dynasty to the land of the dead, releasing a hail of fire that will rain down on the Earth for a thousand years. With some help from fashionista and reformed succubus, Roxy Wasserman, the two must make a daring trip to the underworld to get the deed done. But will Wendy be able to focus on their latest mission, or will the fallout of her argument with Lacey get in the way? Still stinging from Wendy's harsh criticisms, Lacey lands herself a job as Roxy's assistant, which tests her activist spirit.

  • The Sino-Mexican Revelation
To become a full-fledge Middleman, Wendy must first undergo training from Sensei Ping, the most lethal man alive. But things go horribly wrong when Sensei Ping is abducted by an angry group of Mexican wrestlers seeking revenge under Wendy's watch. After sending her home for the day, The Middleman starts to search for the famous fighter but soon finds himself also entrapped by the Lucha Libres. Now as their last hope, Wendy must prove herself capable as she heads down to the Yucatan to rescue both her boss and the martial arts master.

  • The Manicoid Teleportation Conundrum
The Middleman and Wendy are called to look into the strange disappearance of a rich socialite during a fateful shopping trip. As their trail leads them through the world of plastic surgery addiction, they realize that they are dealing with a group of exiled aliens who are being hunted by an unknown entity. But who would hunt down a peaceful species of aliens whose only affliction is the appearance of too much facial work? Meanwhile, Wendy is upset to find out that Ben has posted their break-up video online and tries to avoid Lacey who is channeling her inner therapist.

  • The Flying Fish Zombification
After a newlywed unfortunately turns into a zombie and attacks her husband on their honeymoon, The Middleman and Wendy are called in to stop the spreading of the disease before there is a nationwide zombie outbreak. After several cries for trout, they soon learn they are hunting not your typical un-dead creatures, but rather trout eating zombies that have some interesting ties to a new energy drink. Can The Middleman and Wendy put a stop to the energy drink distribution to a caffeine craving public in time? Meanwhile, Lacey and Noser feel abandoned by Wendy after she ditches out on helping set up for their annual Art Crawl exhibition.

  • The Boyband Superfan Interrogation
As little warp holes are popping up throughout the city, Wendy and The Middleman are on the hunt for the culprit. Their search soon leads them to a foul-mouthed, boy-band obsessed 14-year old who is more than she seems. Realizing that this little girl is actually an alien warrior sent to prevent an exiled alien dictator and his generals, who are posing as a world famous boy-band named Varsity Fanclub, from returning to their home plant and wreaking havoc, The Middleman and Wendy step aside. But when they find out that if the little girl's plan to stop the boy-band succeeds, their loyal sidekick Ida becomes toast, they can't just wait idly by. Can The Middleman and Wendy stop Varsity Fanclub from warping back to their home planet with their curiously catchy tunes and slick dance moves without destroying Ida?

  • The Cursed Tuba Contingency
A cursed tuba that purportedly causes any that to it to drown must be destroyed before it can harm innocent people.

  • The Ectoplasmic Panhellenic Investigation
When something scarier than a bunch of girls dressed alike chanting peppy lyrics hits the Omega Theta Nu sorority house, Wendy and The Middleman try to track down the ghostly culprit. But to do so, Wendy must go against all of her moral fibers as she goes undercover to track down the source of the paranormal occurrences. As Wendy starts looking around, the ghouly apparitions start to raise larger questions. Could the top sorority house on campus be really haunted, or is there something else going on? Meanwhile, Tyler resurfaces looking for the soul mate he met the day of his Lucha Libre attack only to mistake Lacey as the wonderful woman he is searching for.

  • The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown
In 1969, The Middleman had an arch nemesis named The Candle. When the dastardly villain disappeared, the 1969 Middleman took a drastic step by cryogenically freezing himself with the strict instructions to be unfrozen when The Candle should ever return. Thirty-nine years later, The Middleman and Wendy stumble across a new case that seems eerily similar to The Candle's M.O. While researching how to handle the old foe's return, Ida drops the bomb on them about her instructions to unfreeze the 1969 Middleman. With a 40-year vendetta and a 60s mindset, will the old Middleman be able to work with The Middleman and Wendy to catch The Candle, or will their differences get in the way of justice? Meanwhile, worrying about her "perfect" relationship with Tyler and how her job may interfere with it, Wendy goes to 1969 Middleman for advice.

  • The Vampiric Puppet Lamentation
When artifacts from Vlad the Impaler go up for auction, Wendy and The Middleman prepare to acquire them all in effort to stop a possible vampire resurgence. But things go horribly awry when the last artifact, Vlad's beloved ventriloquist puppet Vladdy, takes over the soul of the auctioneer and gets away. Now The Middleman and Wendy must stop Vladdy from reuniting with his puppet bride and bringing on an eternal night of blood. Things only go from bad to worse when the demonic puppet learns about The Middleman's feelings for Lacey and uses her to force our hero to make a dangerous decision. Will Wendy be left on her own to face the unnatural wooden forces of evil or can The Middleman come up with a plan to save the world from vampire restoration and the woman he loves? Meanwhile, when Noser mysteriously disappears, Lacey joins forces with Pip to track down their missing friend, much to The Middleman's chagrin.

  • The Clotharian Contamination Protocol
A maligned Ida - who has been infested by nanobots from outer space - dupes The Middleman and Wendy into initiating a lockdown at Middleman HQ.

  • The Palindrome Reversal Palindrome
Wendy is transported to a bleak alternate universe where she finds atypical versions of Noser, Lacey and the Middleman. She seeks help from them as she tries to find a way out of the strange place.
