Run's House EpisodesSeason 4

Back To Pazsaz Entertainment Network's Run's House Page

  • JoJo's Graduation
JoJo chills in front of Run's House, washing the sweet new ride he just received as an early graduation present. That's right, Rev Run gave his son a customized BMW! Rev Run confesses that giving is the best feeling in the world, and he feels like giving again. He hands a huge wad of bills to JoJo, saying it's for gas. But, of course, there's a catch: JoJo must pick up his sisters, Vanessa and Angela, from the airport after their trip to Los Angeles. When Diggy comes home from school, he's waiving around a certificate and pin for being on the honor roll. JoJo doesn't think it's a big deal, but Diggy begs to differ. He thinks he should get a present, just like JoJo did. But JoJo says that graduating high school is a big deal, unlike receiving a pin and a piece of paper. Despite this, Rev Run and Justine congratulate Diggy, saying they're proud he's showing real dedication when it comes to school. Meanwhile, Vanessa and Angela wish they could stay in L.A. forever. In fact, Angela really wants to stay, toying with the idea of leaving behind their New York City apartment and getting a place in L.A. As the sisters hatch a scheme to move to the West Coast, Angela admits that the hardest part will be presenting the plan to their father, Rev Run.

  • Growing Up Is Hard To Do
The pressures and hardships of growing up are something everyone goes through, and Rev Run's kids are no exception. While playing a video game with Russy, Diggy is constantly being distracted by his phone. The text messaging and calls from girls keep interrupting the game, driving Russy absolutely bonkers. When Diggy kicks Russy out of his room to ask a girl out, Russy skulks off to his room. Speaking of girls, Vanessa and Angela are cooped up in their room. Since giving up their New York City apartment and moving back into Run's House, the two sisters have been getting on each other's nerves. Vanessa, who put her and Angela's plans to move to Los Angeles on hold to continue her role on Guiding Light, doesn't mind staying home for the summer. But Angela is bored out of her mind, so she concocts a new idea for their Pastry line - matching clothing! Vanessa thinks it's a great idea but she doesn't have time in her schedule right now ? and she doesn't want Angela pitching ideas without her. Later, Angela mopes around Run's House as Vanessa breezes by, telling her parents she's heading to work. Rev Run senses a void in Angela's life and promises to turn her frown upside down, suggesting she head on over to Pastry to see what's cookin'.

  • Run's Manner House
Now that Angela and Vanessa have moved out of their New York City apartment and back into Run's House, it seems like they have a little more time on their hands. Sitting poolside, Angela begins to get tattoo fever, telling Vanessa she wants to get the name of their shoe line, Pastry, tattooed on her wrist. When Vanessa tells her she's crazy, Angela says maybe she'll get a star instead. In the kitchen, JoJo, Diggy and Russy's lunchtime party is brought to a halt when Justine tells them that their constant belching is "nasty" and needs to stop. But Justine's orders fall on deaf ears and the boys continue to burp. Since they're ignoring her, Justine says she's off to tell their father, Rev Run, how disrespectful they're being. Outside, Justine tells Rev Run that she thinks the kids are getting out of control and that something needs to be done. But Run seems more interested in cleaning the pool than with his sons' unfettered flatulence. Still frustrated, Justine heads back inside to put on her thinking cap.

  • When Diggy Met Britney
Even hip-hop legends have to unwind, and for Rev Run that means using his downtime to clean the pool in back of Run's House. When Justine comes out to tell him she has to run some errands, she reminds him that it's his job to supervise Diggy and his new friends, Brittney and Catherine. Run's face lights up when he hears Brittney's name because he knows she's rapper Ja Rule's daughter and he thinks the two would make a cute couple. Justine tells Run to behave himself or else he'll embarrass Diggy. In the kitchen, Angela, JoJo, Diggy and Russy are eating when Vanessa enters and introduces herself as Lola, her character's name on Guiding Light. Everyone gives her a hard time as she struggles to stay in character. When Rev Run and Justine enter, Veronica explains that she's trying to get into character before she shoots her first episode later in the week. That afternoon, Diggy is playing on the Slip 'N Slide in the backyard with Brittney and Catherine. Rev Run, still cleaning the pool, calls Diggy over to tease him. When Run asks Diggy which girl he likes more, Diggy is totally embarrassed. Run says he hopes it's Brittney so they can "keep it in the rap family."

  • Rappers' Retreat
Bright and early one morning, Rev Run strolls into his wife's office excited about a complimentary suite they have received from Mohegan Sun. Knowing that the destination is nothing but a gambling hot spot, Justine asks Run if that's something he really wants to do. Obviously, she's not feeling it. Rev Run attempts to sell Justine on the mini-getaway, stating all of the other amenities the resort has to offer, including a spa and golf course. Justine points out that he doesn't even know how to play golf. In the end, Justine says she's only into it if all the kids come too. Run huffs and walks out of the room. Throwing a football back and forth outside of Run's House, Russy whines to Diggy about his room. Russy thinks his bedroom is too childish, as it sports not only The Cat in the Hat paraphernalia but also a huge Tootsie Roll. Diggy warns his younger brother that if he wants to change his room he's going to have to go through daddy. Good luck with that! As always, Russy plays it safe and goes to his mommy, Justine, saying he wants to get rid of all the Disney posters and childish toys. Justine, sad to see that her baby's growing up, is unsure what to do about this request, so she tells Russy that he needs to ask his father. It always comes right back to Rev Run!

  • Camp Rev
With bags in hand, Russy and Diggy return from a friend's sleepover, and Rev Run questions why his sons never have friends stay over Run's House. The boys coyly admit that they are embarrassed to bring friends over because their father sometimes acts goofy. Immediately Run thinks he has the perfect solution to the problem - it's time for Camp Rev! Yes, Run will be holding a sleepover for Russy and Diggy's friends, complete with relay races and a camp counselor named Run. The boys sit in silence. Is their dad for real? In the basement, JoJo and his group, Team Blackout, are working on their demo. But the beats blast throughout the house, driving Angela and Vanessa absolutely crazy. They bust in and tell JoJo to turn the music down, asking what he's working on and whether Rev Run is helping out. Confident with his own skills, JoJo tells Angela and Vanessa not to worry, he can do it all by himself. Looks like this young rapper has everything figured out. At Phat Farm headquarters in New York City, Russell Simmons fills his brother, Rev Run, in on a new clothing line, XV. But Russell is concerned that kids won't be into it, since Phat Farm is for older folks, like him and Run. So when Russell says he's looking for a fresh kid from the 'hood to come in and tell him what's hot, Run quickly suggests JoJo. Russell shrugs, not convinced that JoJo has what he's looking for. But could JoJo have flavor?

  • Who's Your Daddy?
While lounging in the study with Justine, Rev Run thumbs through the latest issue of Word Up! magazine, which includes an Angela's Rundown insert. He tells Justine that he thinks their daughter's upcoming 16-page spread could be the beginning of a prosperous career. In New York City, Angela is overseeing a photo shoot at John Ricard Studio for Angela's Rundown featuring Omarion and Bow Wow. During the shoot, Angela tells the publisher of Word Up! that she's interested in expanding the insert into a full-blown magazine. The overall reaction is positive, so Angela runs with the idea. Back at Run's House, JoJo and Russy are hanging out in the living room when Vanessa walks in wearing an "I'm a Mess" T-shirt and carrying her dog, Juicy. Vanessa tells her brothers that she's afraid Juicy is pregnant, and JoJo says she should bring the pooch to the veterinarian ASAP. Later, Russy heads into the study to tell Justine about Juicy. Upset by the news, Justine confronts Vanessa about the possible pregnancy. She tells Vanessa that if it turns out to be a false alarm, Juicy must get fixed so there are no more pregnancy scares.

  • Rock In Run's House
JoJo plans for the future with Vanessa and Angela. Namely, what he'll do with the "pool of cash he'll have once his album drops. As Justine works on a book she's writing for charity, Run gets a text from Kid Rock. He's coming to town and Run decides to invite him to stay, seeing as how Kid took such good care of his family when they went to Malibu. When Justine alerts the boys, JoJo and Diggy are excited but Russy pouts about the prospect of giving up his room. Justine warns him he's not allowed to ask the rocker to teach him guitar. Vanessa and Angela are shoe shopping when Run tells them of an interesting offer from the Girl Scouts of America: they want the girls to be their official role models because of their entrepreneurial skills. Too bad Vanessa and Angela are more interested in cookies and whether or not they can design a new Girl Scout uniform. Kid Rock is definitely coming so Run and Justine must decide where to put him. They agree upon Russy's room, but Justine is insulted that Run only talks about all the fun he and Kid Rock will have. She wants to be included too! When Angela tells JoJo about the opportunity with the Girl Scouts, he's less than supportive. He says there's no black girl scouts, and besides, what kind of role models are his sisters anyway? Russy doesn't think it's fair that he's getting exiled from his room for Kid Rock. But Run is too excited to welcome Kid to care.

  • Baby Steps
Justine is babysitting her sister Michelle's eleven month old baby, Ameera, for two nights. The boys look forward to helping their mom baby-sit as long as they don't have to change diapers. Justine is on her own for most of the baby watching, but the entire family is enjoying Ameera's presence. That changes overnight as Ameera keeps Run and Jus up for a lot of the first night. Run is found napping the next day while Justine is still fatigued and taking care of Ameera. He feels bad and steps it up, asking Justine to take a nice stroll with him and the baby. Rev's temporary slip in daddy-hood is outshined by he love for Ameera and sadness upon seeing her leave. Meanwhile, after Vanessa and Angela see their chintzy Pastry display in the back of a Finish Line store, they go on a quest to figure out how they can get their display in the window, just like their father's Arthur Ashe shoe. They realize it's more than just selling shoes.

  • Mixed And Mastered
With their tracks finally mixed and mastered JoJo, Zach and Reggie, aka "Blackout," are ready to hit the streets and find a record deal. But even though JoJo has been adamant about doing this music thing on his own, he still asks his dad to make a call for him. Rev is more than willing to help and sets up a meeting for Blackout to meet with independent record label, Latchkey Recordings. There, "Blackout" learns the cold reality of an Indie label: no advances, but instead a partnership in the backend revenue. This is a blow to the boys who had higher expectations and wild dreams of spending their upfront cash. But after consulting with Rev, the boys realize the deal is sound and when Latchkey expresses interest in working with "Blackout," the boys sign the contract. Meanwhile, Angela is nagging Vanessa to find out her end date on Guiding Light so they can get to L.A. already. But Vanessa is reticent to ask, so Angela takes it upon herself to inquire with the head writer of Guiding Light on ways to write off Vanessa's character. Despite Angela's antics, coincidentally, it is time for Vanessa's character to leave the show as she learns she has one month left.

  • Too Cool For Old School
To keep occupied while going to an engineer tech school in the city, JoJo begins an internship at Phat Farm to learn the family business. There, Uncle Russell makes JoJo work for wunderkind designer, Kevin Leong who ends up making JoJo's life miserable. And when Kevin's treatment toward JoJo becomes too much to take, JoJo complains to his Uncle Russell. Ultimately, JoJo learns that Uncle Russell was behind the treatment to teach him a lesson about giving and hard work. Meanwhile, when Rev gets overmatched by the Nintendo Wii he buys an old school arcade game to prove to Diggy and Russy he used to be the video king. But when the boys get addicted to the game Justine gets annoyed because it's starting to affect their schoolwork. She ends up laying down ground rules for when the boys and Rev can play the game. Also, happening in the house, Justine has an epiphany about her weight struggle and goes on a diet that works for her instead of Rev's overbearing point counting system.

  • When The Cat's Away...
Justine's Brown Sugar jewelry line is up and running. And better yet, the Home Shopping Network is interested in working with her. So it's off to sunny Tampa to put Justine's jewelry on air. It's a busy schedule for Jus as she learns the ropes around the studio before finally getting over her nerves and making her live debut. While Rev and Justine are away, Rev arranges for Diggy and Russy to stay with their Uncle Danny. There, the boys are spooked out by their uncle's eclectic artwork and paintings and have trouble falling asleep. But after a talk with uncle Danny they learn that they shouldn't be scared by the artifacts but should instead feel more comfortable since a lot of the art pieces ward off evil spirits, etc. Meanwhile, with the house free of adults and children, JoJo invites over the other members of "Blackout," Zach and Reggie. They run amok and get into a cooking war with Vanessa and Angela.

  • Slapped Silly
Every family has its pecking order and being the youngest sure has its drawbacks: like getting picked on, which makes Russy the target of his brothers and sisters annoyance. And for Russy, who has always had issues controlling his anger, the torment provided by his older siblings proves to be a tough thing for him to handle. But thanks to a talk with Dad, who is also the youngest of his family, Russy learns a fool-proof technique that will keep his annoying brothers and sisters from continuing to bother him. Meantime, Rev gets pressure from Uncle Russell to invest in his newest business venture, "global Grind,' a customized web browser that's targeted to the hip-hop community. Rev is reluctant to part with such a large sum of money to invest, making his brother Russell go hard, accusing Rev of spending his money frivolously. But after a talk with the mini-mogul himself, Russy, and his wife Justine, Rev decides that investing is a good idea and ponies up an amount he's comfortable with.

  • Run's Baby Girl
It's time for JoJo and his group, Blackout, to hit the studio and begin recording tracks for their record. However, JoJo, Zach and Reggie are discouraged by the list of producers Latchkey Recordings has available to them. JoJo tells his dad he doesn't think anybody on the list will be able to deliver that hit record he covets so much. Rev tries to impress on JoJo that a hit record won't make him happy, but JoJo doesn't want to hear it. Realizing he's not getting through to his son, Rev discusses the matter with his brother Russell. Coincidentally, Russell is going through the same issue with Jinx, a rapper from the hood that he mentors. They both decide the boys need a talking to and sit them down to teach them what's really important in life. Meanwhile, Vanessa's job at Guiding Light is over and Angela wants to leave for Los Angeles now. Although Rev has known the girls would be moving, the fact that it's imminent is hitting him hard as he procrastinates getting them plane tickets. Also happening, the adoption looms closer as Justine and Rev get word that they've found a baby girl.

  • Baby Comes Home
Rev and Justine return from visiting their adopted baby they'll soon be able to call their own. They get the family excited with the news that they will have a new sister living in the house in a few days. However, this turns into a conflict for the girls who leave for Los Angeles the very same day and will most likely miss seeing their sister. Rev suggests they change their flight to another day but Vanessa already has meetings setup that she can't miss. Meanwhile, JoJo is putting up a front that he won't miss his sisters and is being mean to them. And when the spats continue, Rev sits JoJo down for a talk where he tells JoJo he needs to open up to his sisters and share his true feelings with Angela and Vanessa. And at lunch with their Mother, JoJo breaks down and weeps about how much he'll miss his sisters and how they're his best friends. The girls had no idea JoJo felt this way and assure him they are not moving away forever and that he can visit anytime. This cleansing of feelings only makes their bond stronger. Meanwhile, Diggy and Russy have arranged a little celebration for the arrival of their new sister and surprise their Mom.
