  • This Is Not A Pipe
    A hospital error that involved sending two newborns home with the wrong families is uncovered years later, when the girls are teenagers. The girls went on to lead very different lives: Artistic Bay Kennish grew up in a world of privilege, while athletic Daphne Vasquez was raised by a single mother and contracted an illness that left her deaf at a young age.

  • American Gothic
    The Kennish family invites Regina, Daphne and Adrianna over to breakfast, but since they're in the middle of unpacking their new home, only Daphne goes. She is quickly overwhelmed with how fast they speak and has difficulty understanding. Meanwhile, Kathryn suggests Daphne and her family come to their weekly grill night, but she and John are secretly upset when Daphne gets a ride to school on Emmett's motorcycle.

  • Portrait Of My Father
    When attempting to figure out a way to answer questions about their newfound living situation, Kathryn encourages her family and Regina's family to give a vague version of the truth. She's not yet ready for the ???switch??? details to be made public.

  • Dance Amongst Daggers
    Kathryn hosts the Buckner Hall fundraiser at the Kennish house. She is anxious about the event, especially because a local reporter will be there. Daphne asks to invite her new boyfriend Liam to the fundraiser. Everyone is shocked Daphne is dating her ex. Then Bay reveals she's dating Ty - which shocks Daphne!

  • Dogs Playing Poker
    Kathryn and John discover Bay sneaking around with Ty and as punishment they invite him over to an awkward family dinner. Before the dinner, Kathryn tries to talk to Bay about sex. Meanwhile, Regina goes on a date with Bruce despite Kathryn's warning about him being a player.

  • The Persistence Of Memory
    Daphne struggles to keep up with a cooking class at her new school. Elsewhere, Bay and Emmett grow close while looking for clues about Bay's biological father; and Toby and Wilke try to break into school to swipe a test.

  • The Stag Hunt
    Bay believes she's uncovered her birth father's identity online, so she asks Daphne and Emmett to accompany her when she meets him. Meanwhile, John and Kathryn suspect Regina is to blame for the hospital's recent actions regarding their lawsuit.

  • Pandora's Box
    Bay and Emmett's bond intensifies. Meanwhile, Regina finally shares her secret with everybody.

  • Paradise Lost
    Bay and Daphne celebrate their birthday, and Regina tries to make amends with them.

  • The Homecoming
    An unexpected guest attends Bay's art show. Elsewhere, Daphne opens up to Emmett regarding her feelings about him.

  • Starry Night
    Daphne follows Emmett to a music festival, hoping to get some private time with him. Elsewhere, John requests that Regina be present when Bay sees Angelo again; and Kathryn secretly talks to a nurse who could assist in the lawsuit against the hospital.

  • The Tempest
    Bay tries to impress Melody with her ASL (American Sign Language) knowledge, trying to earn some points as Emmet's girlfriend - to no avail. Meanwhile, Regina tries to help Bay with Melody at a game night, but finds this to be harder than expected. When Kathyrn is approached by a local reporter to turn their family baby-swap story into a book, she balks at sensationalizing it and considers writing her own version of the truth, but will Regina also think this is a good idea? Daphne tries to fit in with her new friend Simone, who happens to be an old friend of Bay's, and Wilke and Toby try to earn some extra money by making fake ID's.

  • Self Portrait With A Bandaged Ear
    Bay is once again not in Melody's good graces after Emmett gets into trouble and Melody blames his relationship with Bay on the situation. Daphne is overall frustrated with her basketball coach who won't let her play, and her frustration extends to her relationship with Angelo who she finally confronts to discuss why he really left. Meanwhile, Kathryn and John learn some disheartening news about their lawyer that might ruin their entire case. And, Angelo makes Regina a business offer she can't refuse.

  • Les Soeurs d'Estrees
    Daphne is desperate to help Emmett keep his motorcycle, and ends up lying to John and Kathryn to get the money. Meanwhile, Melody tells Bay to stay away from Emmett. The Kennish's interview potential new attorneys to work on their case against the hospital and despite Daphne's reservations, Regina agrees to go into business with Angelo. But, will John's revelation to Angelo tear his business relationship apart from Regina, or bring them closer together?

  • Expulsion From The Garden Of Eden
    Bay helps Emmett move into his dad's apartment and they both meet his eccentric new girlfriend, Olivia. Daphne goes on a date with Wilke, but when she finds out he has taken other girls out on the same date, she questions whether she's special to him or not. Kathryn runs into Angelo at a farmer's market and decides to invite him over for a big family dinner. But, just as Regina and Angelo are getting closer, something happens that might pull them apart for good.

  • Las Dos Fridas
    Kathryn's mother Bonnie comes for a visit which makes Bay and Daphne question their new roles in the family and where they fit in. While Bonnie can't get over the physical resemblance between Daphne and Kathryn, Daphne still sees herself as a girl from her old neighborhood and struggles with her new identity. Meanwhile, Bay and Regina grow closer as they try to find out what happened to Angelo and their shared love of art. Toby's new girlfriend Simone tries to change him, which Bay warns him about.

  • Protect Me From What I Want
    Emmett has a photography project for school and needs to shoot a family portrait, but with his own family in a bit of upheaval, he agrees to shoot the Kennish and Vasquez's together for their first group photo. Daphne learns she might not be able to trust Simone, while John tries to get closer to Toby. Meanwhile, Regina meets an art gallery owner who she invites to see Bay's work, but his interests lie more with Regina and her own art. And, Emmett is jealous of Bay's past feelings for Ty, but Bay reassures him that was her past and they both reveal that they're falling in love with one another.

  • The Art Of Painting
    Daphne is torn between her two schools and Bay is concerned by some of Emmett's new habits since living with his father. Regina is excited for her first art show, but things go awry when Emmet's parents get into a heated discussion over how he's being raised. Kathryn finds out that the nurse who is the cornerstone of their legal case against the hospital is in financial hardship, and makes a big decision without consulting John that could destroy their case.

  • Write A Lonely Soldier
    Bay hears the news of a deadly crash in Afghanistan and gets nervous that Ty might be injured when she doesn't hear back from him within a few days. Emmett is jealous to learn that Bay has been emailing Ty while he's away, which puts some strain on their relationship. At the same time, Daphne starts to question her relationship with Wilke and asks that he start to learn some ASL. Daphne is confronted by a new guy at Carlton school, Travis, who questions her loyalty to the school and the program. But, when Daphne's complaints about Travis get him fired from his job at the school, she helps him get a job at John's car wash. Travis proves to be a problem there as well. And, the Kennish's lawyer, Craig, finds out that Kathryn gave the nurse some money which jeopardizes their entire case.

  • Game On
    Daphne is nervous about the basketball tournament with Carlton vs. Buckner Hall, although she's excited to represent the deaf community and Carlton and hopes to make them all proud. Meanwhile, Melody puts Bay in an awkward position when she asks her to testify in Emmett's custody hearing. Emmett, frustrated by all the drama with his parents divorce, makes a bad decision that could potentially destroy his relationship with Bay. Kathyrn meets with a NY book editor, Rya Bellows, to discuss publishing her biography regarding the switch. And, Regina questions whether she should continue seeing Patrick, who seems unfamiliar with dating a single mother.

  • The Sleep Of Reason Produces Monsters
    Daphne and Bay plan the perfect birthday for Emmett - an ASL zombie movie shoot with their friends and family. While Emmett is excited about the event, he's also torn up inside about what happened with Simone and how it will hurt Bay. Simone wants to keep what happened between her and Emmett a secret, but someone finds out and threatens to expose their secret. Meanwhile, Kathyrn is devastated to find out that John has been revealing some secrets of their own and Regina has second thoughts about contributing to Kathyrn's book.

  • Venus, Cupid, Folly, And Time
    It's prom time at Carlton School for the Deaf and Daphne is excited to ask Wilke to be her date, but things don't go as planned and Travis ends up joining them. Emmett asks Bay to be his guest, but what should be a magical night for the two of them, is at risk of getting ruined with Emmett's secret haunting him. Angelo's return causes more problems for the two families and Kathyrn and John's marriage is tested when their lawyer gets a little too close.

  • This Is The Color Of My Dreams
    Bay returns from a trip abroad with a new boyfriend, but she must face issues from her past concerning Emmett and Angelo. Meanwhile, Daphne seeks employment help from Kathryn; and Regina impulsively makes a big decision.

  • The Intruder
    Regina's actions rock both families. John's baseball record is in danger of being beaten. Daphne and Emmett decide to enter their zombie film in a horror film festival. Emmett has a run-in with Toby. Meanwhile, Bay meets another street artist.

  • The Shock Of Being Seen
    Daphne feels like she's a minute away from being fired after she causes a major accident at the restaurant. But things take a turn when her new boss, handsome Chef Jeff, asks her to stay late one night. Meanwhile, Bay uses Angelo as her excuse to get around John's rules. And Kathryn is upset when Regina gets all of the attention in her interview for the new book.

  • Tree Of Forgiveness
    Daphne tries to ignite a spark between Robin and Emmett at the bike show held at John's carwash. Meanwhile, John is livid when the car wash is tagged, and Kathryn tricks Toby into getting out of the house.

  • The Declaration Of Independence
    Bay and Zarra search for a tagger who's been painting over their street art. Meanwhile, Daphne gets mixed signals from Chef Jeff.

  • We Are The Kraken Of Our Own Sinking Ships
    Kathryn and John are concerned about Bay's friendship with Zarra so they invite Bay's ex-boyfriend Alex and his parents over for dinner. But during the meal, Zarra calls and begs Bay to come rescue her from a sticky situation. Meanwhile, Scuba pressures Daphne into lying to Chef Jeff for him. Plus, Toby bonds with Nikki, and Regina tries to reconnect with Patrick.

  • The Trial
    The lawsuit against the hospital comes to a head as Angelo returns in time for the beginning of the trial. Meanwhile, Bay scrambles to return the money she "borrowed" from John to help Zarra. Daphne and Jeff struggle in their relationship; and Emmett, Nikki and Toby form a new band.

  • Street Noises Invade The House
    The Kennish and Vasquez families are starting to fall apart. Daphne and Jeff's relationship is exposed, causing them major problems. Bay and Zarra take off without telling anyone. Meanwhile, the trial reaches a shocking conclusion.
