Also: an interview with First Lady Michelle Obama. Auditions #2: Detroit The second round of auditions features hopefuls in Detroit. Auditions #3: Los Angeles The third round of auditions features dancers in Los Angeles. Auditions #4: New York The judges are in New York for the fourth and final round of auditions before callbacks. Vegas Callbacks #1 The contestants go to Las Vegas for the first round of callbacks. Vegas Callbacks #2/Top 20 Chosen The callbacks continue in Las Vegas as the judges pick the best stage and street dancers to make up the Top 20. Top 20 Perform The Top 20 dancers perform. Top 20 Perform + Elimination The Top 20 dancers perform. Also: the season's first elimination. Top 18 Perform + Elimination The Top 18 dancers perform, but two contestants are eliminated. Top 16 Perform Live + Elimination The Top 16 dancers perform, but two contestants are eliminated. Top 14 Perform + Elimination The Top 14 dancers perform, but the field is diminished by a double elimination. Top 10 Perform + Elimination The Top 10 dancers perform, but two contestants are eliminated. Top 8 Perform + Elimination The Top 8 dancers perform, but two contestants are eliminated. Top 6 Perform + Elimination The Top 6 dancers perform, but two more contestants are eliminated. Finale Part 1: Top 4 Perform The final four dancers - Gaby Diaz, Virgil Gadson, Hailee Payne and Jana Vankova - perform. Finale Part 2: Winner Chosen Season 12 concludes with the selection of America's Favorite Dancer.
