Meanwhile, Claudius Glaber arrives in Capua, compounding Spartacus' problems. A Place In This World After Spartacus' men liberate a Roman villa, the newly freed slaves are wary and unsure of their new situation. Meanwhile, Oenomaus throws himself into the Pits, and Glaber believes Lucretia's prophecies, although Ilithyia isn't convinced. The Greater Good After learning of Naevia's fate, Spartacus must deal with a rift among the gladiators; Lucretia divulges a long-kept secret in order to strengthen her position; and the rebels find themselves at risk after an attack. Empty Hands While Spartacus attempts to lead survivors through the woods to safety, Crixus becomes separated from the group and finds himself at a place that dredges up painful memories. Elsewhere, Lucretia digs into Ilithyia's past to seek favor with a high-ranking Roman. Libertus Spartacus undertakes a mission to rescue Crixus from the Romans, but a famous gladiator from the House of Atiatus interferes with the plan; Ilithyia's scheming begins to affect her marriage to Glaber. Chosen Path Spartacus rallies the rebels to begin training in order to be ready to defend their new sanctuary, while Glaber welcomes powerful new recruits to his forces. Sacramentum Spartacus and the rebels look to increase the size of their force by freeing and recruiting fighters held as slaves during foreign wars; Lucretia recruits one of her husband's ex-gladiators in an attempt to outmaneuver influential Romans. Balance Spartacus contemplates an opportunity for revenge after the capture of an influential Roman; intrigue is at a fever pitch among Glaber and the women in his circle. Monsters Spartacus tries to unite his people to prep for an imminent attack by the Romans; Lucretia tries to free herself from men who threaten her existence; Glaber's ruthless ways backfire on him. Wrath Of The Gods Supply shortages and a superior Roman force threaten to halt the rebellion as Spartacus tries to rally his troops in the face of a final onslaught from Glaber's army.
