  • P-i-pilot
    Maya DiMeo moves her family to a new, upscale school district when she finds the perfect situation for her eldest son, JJ, who has cerebral palsy. While JJ and daughter Dylan are thrilled with the move, middle son Ray is frustrated by the family's tendencies to constantly move, since he feels his needs are second to JJ Soon, Maya realizes it is not the right situation for JJ and attempts to uproot the family again. But JJ connects with Kenneth, the school's groundskeeper, and asks him to step in as a his caregiver, and Ray manages to convince Maya to give the school another chance.

  • N-e-new A-i-aide
    Maya struggles as Kenneth takes over as JJ's full-time aide. Loving his new freedom, JJ avoids attending a physical therapy appointment, and Maya automatically blames Kenneth, using any excuse to confirm her misgivings and moves to fire him. Meanwhile, Jimmy struggles to teach Dylan the family way to not be so neighborly.

  • B-o-n-bonfire
    A homecoming bonfire becomes Maya's latest crusade for equality when she points out that its beach location isn't wheelchair accessible. Meanwhile, Jimmy helps Ray get comfortable in their new surroundings.

  • I-n-s-insirations
    JJ and Kenneth go exploring on their own and discover they're an inspiration to strangers, which winds up scoring them free food and baseball tickets. Meanwhile, Dylan and Ray try to persuade their mom to let them play paintball, but Maya wonders if the family can have fun without JJ.

  • H-a-l-halloween
    Maya tries to cheer up Jimmy when he's disappointed by the kids' lack of interest in dressing up for Halloween. Meanwhile, Ray works on the school's haunted mansion with help from Dylan; and Kenneth fears for his job when JJ gets drunk at a party.

  • D-a-t-e-date?
    JJ meets an injured gymnast who must learn to get used to being in a wheelchair, but develops a crush on her as he helps her to adapt. Meanwhile, Ray has to think fast to impress his classmates when it comes to a "sexting" matter; and Jimmy gives advice to Dylan on dealing with stress.

  • T-h-a-thanksgiving
    The DiMeo's Thanksgiving plans to avoid another awful holiday with Jimmy's brother Billy go awry when the older DiMeo's clan shows up unannounced. Meanwhile, Kenneth and Ray do their best with the turkey; and the rest of the family invents a game to list annoying things about their relatives as the rivalry between Jimmy and Billy reaches the next level.

  • R-a-y-c-raycation
    The DiMeos' chronic tardiness prompts Ray to have them practice getting to school on time so he won't miss an upcoming weekend field trip. Meanwhile, the family pitches in to help when JJ is interested in a girl.

  • S-l-sled H-o-hockey
    JJ wants to play sled hockey, but Jimmy thinks it's too dangerous. Meanwhile, Maya realizes she should be nicer to Kenneth after she witnesses how much people like him during a CPR class.

  • C-h-o-choir
    Maya's holiday spirit comes as a big surprise when the DiMeos get ready for Christmas, but her upbeat mood is challenged after the family's van is stolen—with all their gifts inside. Meanwhile, Ray joins the school choir when he's worried about getting into college, though he'll have to battle his brother over a coveted solo.

  • R-o-road T-r-trip
    An impromptu road trip is interrupted by an emergency involving Ray's appendix, while Jimmy pursues his usual goal of being a thrifty vacationer, and Dylan is unnerved by a visit to a fortune teller. Back at school, Kenneth's daily routine just isn't the same without JJ.

  • H-e-r-hero
    Dylan makes a sacrifice at a track meet to butter up an insurance agent in an effort to meet JJ's needs. Meanwhile, JJ balks at Ray's idea to use him as an inspiration for an essay contest until another student tries to dishonestly poach the same notion.

  • S-i-sick D-a-day
    Sick bay claims Maya and Kenneth, forcing Jimmy to take the reins of the DiMeo household as Dylan looks after JJ, who returns the favor by running interference between her and a boy she likes, but not even illness can keep the family from helping Ray with a school project.

  • V-a-l-valentine's D-a-day
    Maya's Valentine's Day gift for Jimmy involves help from his old roommate and her ex-fiance. Meanwhile, Ray tries to find out the identity of his secret admirer; and JJ's task of delivering romantic messages is a tall order for him and Kenneth.

  • T-h-the C-l-club
    JJ and Kenneth argue about their roles and whether they need each other, so Dylan hatches a plan to get them back on the same page. Meanwhile, a week's membership for the DiMeo's at a country club finds Ray enjoying the good life and Maya looking to spend some quality family time.

  • O-s-oscar P-a-party
    The DiMeo's annual Oscar party for special-needs families leaves Maya feeling threatened by a new mom's apparent perfection. Meanwhile, Jimmy urges the dads to enjoy themselves; but Ray's attempt to impress a girl isn't completely honest.

  • S-u-r-surprise
    Maya plans a surprise party for Dylan's birthday even though she's adamant about not having one. Meanwhile, Ray is unnerved by a trip to the mall with JJ to buy their sister a present; and Jimmy and Kenneth realize they don't have anything in common.

  • D-i-ding
    Maya's fender-bender finds Ray at odds with the rest of the family. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Dylan are on a mission in a supermarket; JJ teaches a lesson to an impolite customer; and Kenneth tries to hide his moonlighting from the DiMeos.

  • C-h-cheater
    Maya and Kenneth team up to hold JJ accountable after he cheats on an exam at school. Meanwhile, Jimmy bails Ray out of a get-rich-quick scheme, but also learns the reason behind his need for some fast cash.

  • R-u-n-runaway
    JJ's runaway attempt gets Maya's attention, but she winds up hindering his quest for independence. Meanwhile, Jimmy struggles to talk to the kids about difficult subjects without their mom; and Dylan tries to get Kenneth to relive his glory days as a star athlete in high school.

  • P-r-prom
    The arrival of prom night means Maya and Jimmy get a rare evening to themselves, but Kenneth is surprised to learn what they have planned. At school, Ray thinks he's about to have his first make-out session with a girl; and JJ bonds with someone who shares his disdain for being the center of attention at school functions.

  • M-a-may-jay
    JJ's summer plans may not coincide with Maya's when it looks like he might spend it with Kenneth. Meanwhile, Jimmy gets special treatment at an unlikely place; and Dylan's identity in the family is threatened.

  • C-a-camp
    As the DiMeos get ready for a flight to JJ's summer camp, Maya gets a surprise at the airport, while Ray sees his vacation as a chance to reinvent himself, and Jimmy and Dylan turn the trip into a father-daughter bonding moment.
