  • Whitney: From The Hills To The City
Special that highlights Whitney Port's transition from Los Angeles to New York City.

  • If She Can Make It Here...
Welcome to The City! Whitney Port, who we've all come to know and love as Lauren's co-worker and friend on The Hills, has decided to leave her California life behind and risk it all for a new career opportunity in New York working for the fashion house of Diane von Furstenberg. Whitney has one old friend, Erin, waiting for her in Manhattan, and a whole host of new people she's getting to know. Although the coast-swapping move is professionally driven, Whitney's excited to for the chance to spend time getting to know Jay, the Australian singer/guitarist she met during an earlier trip east while working for People's Revolution. Erin and Jay, along with his roommate Adam, round out her "downtown" circle of friends; Olivia, a self-described "social," is a new colleague at DvF and invites Whitney into her "uptown" world.

  • The Truth Will Reveal Itself
Whitney meets for lunch with Alex, a model who she had previously gone on a date with during one of her trips east with People's Revolution. Hills fans will remember that the second time she saw Alex, after a fashion show they worked together before her move, she blew him off for Jay, who she's been with ever since. Whitney apologizes to Alex for leaving him that night and tells him that she's been seeing Jay. Alex admits that while he was a bit hurt, that's not why he's invited Whitney out for lunch. He goes on to tell her that his roommate is friends with Jay's ex-girlfriend, Danielle. According to what Alex has heard, Jay recently told Danielle that he wasn't seeing Whitney anymore and that the exes spent the night together. Whitney is visibly upset by the story, but tells Alex that she has to decide who she's going to trust.

  • The L Word
Erin's new boyfriend, Duncan, flies into town from Toronto. They playfully flirt on the couch at Erin's apartment when Whitney walks in. After a brief introduction, Whitney tells them that she will give the two alone time and gets out of their way. Erin and Whitney grab breakfast at The Smith in the East Village while Duncan is asleep. Whitney shares that she is grateful yet apologetic that Erin has let her stay in her apartment. Erin responds that she is happy to open up her home, even though it might be a little crowded with Duncan in town. Whitney also questions her relationship with Jay - she wants to trust him, but is finding it difficult.

  • Good Things Come In Threes
At the Diane von Furstenberg offices, Whitney and Olivia discuss the guest list for their upcoming Wonder Woman Event with DC Comics. Olivia explains that all the "socials" will be invited. Then Diane von Furstenberg shows up and talks to Whitney about styling some outfits for the event and then asks her how things are going for her. Whitney and Erin have lunch at Caffe Falai in Soho. Whitney tells Erin that she thinks she may need to take a step back in her relationship with Jay.

  • Boys Night Out
Jay and Whitney have dinner plans with Adam and Allie. While Whitney and Jay wait for them at the restaurant, Jay briefs her on Adam and Allie's relationship and how instantly they had a spark. He also tells her that Allie is originally from Sacramento. Whitney finds comfort in Allie being a fellow Cali girl. When Adam and Allie arrive at the restaurant, Allie talks about how demanding her modeling career is and that she has to travel tomorrow for a Diesel photo shoot. Allie asks Whitney if she would keep an eye on Adam while she's away. Whitney and Erin take a stroll in Central Park. They discuss Adam and Erin's relationship. Erin is concerned that Adam might misbehave while Allie's away. Whitney thinks that although Allie has asked her to keep an eye on Adam, she doesn't want to be in the middle of their relationship and feels torn.

  • He Never Said He Had A Girlfriend
Allie visits Whitney at her apartment and is still confused about whether her boyfriend, Adam, cheated on her with Catarina. Allie thinks that maybe she should confront Catarina. Whitney advises that if Allie believes him then there is no point in confronting Catarina, but if she's questioning it then maybe she should confront her. At the DVF offices, Whitney invites Olivia to Jay and Adam's art gallery opening at Collective Hardware. She warns Olivia that there has been a lot of drama within her circle of friends because of the rumored kiss between Adam and Catarina. Olivia, however, doesn't want to get involved and doesn't want to hear any more of the "high school drama."

  • The Truth Hurts
Whitney, Allie, Erin and Samantha go out for dinner at Delicatessen. Erin comments on how envious she is of the girls' careers - with Allie as a model, Whitney working for DVF, and Samantha at Bergdorf. She's tired of doing the hostess gig and wants to figure out her career path. Allie tells Erin that her manager at One Management, Scott Lipps, is always looking for new and exciting people and offers to pass along Erin's resume. Then, Whitney invites the girls to Kelly Cutrone's birthday party. Samantha can't attend but Erin and Allie are up for a girls' night out. Erin has an interview with Scott at One Management. Her poise and confidence impress Scott and he offers Erin a production coordinator position. Erin is excited about the new gig, since it combines her two loves: fashion and music. Before heading over to Kelly's birthday party, Erin, and Allie join Whitney at her apartment. Whitney warns them that Kelly is a very "in your face" type of person and will "tell it like it is." Allie tells the girls that she likes people like that.

  • Mingling With The Commoners
While eating at Petite Abeille, Whitney and Jay talk about his band Tamarama's upcoming gig at the Cutting Room. Whitney's invited Erin and Olivia to see the show. Jay jokingly tells Whitney that he'll corner off a little area for Olivia so she doesn't have to "mingle with the commoners." On the Upper East Side, Olivia meets Nevan for lunch at La Goulue. After reprimanding Nevan, for calling her "babe," Olivia tells him that Whitney has invited her to see Jay's band play. Olivia doesn't know anything about the band, so, Nevan advises that she remember to smile and clap. The night of Tamarama's Cutting Room did, Whitney and Erin hail a cab and head to Olivia's apartment. Erin tells Whitney that her ex-boyfriend JR may be coming tonight. She goes on to say that she's told JR about Duncan and hopes that JR never asks to get back together. When Whitney asks whether Erin wants him back, Erin only says that the timing is bad.

  • Unexpected Roommates
At Erin's Gramercy apartment, Whitney gives Erin the low down on Jay's living situation. Allie had moved in with Jay and Adam temporarily but had yet to find her own place. They move on to discuss tonight's party at Smooth's apartment, a friend of Adam and Jay. Erin tells Whitney that Duncan is arriving tonight, she's nervous about seeing him now that JR has re-emerged. Erin laughs and says that she wants to have her cake... and eat it too! Whitney, Olivia and their co-workers gather at the Diane von Furstenberg offices for a holiday party. A co-worker, Natalie asks Whitney and Olivia whether they know all the names of the magazine editors. Olivia quickly raises her hand and says, "I do!" Whitney tells the table about the time she unknowingly told the editor of Vanity Fair that he shouldn't be sitting in his own seat - she explains that it's so hard to know everyone's face to their name. As she finishes the embarrassing story, Diane von Furstenberg addresses the room and wishes them all a happy New Year.

  • The Past Catches Up
At One Management, Erin tells Allie how excited she is for the Miami trip. Allie says she can't go because she has a photo shoot for Nylon magazine - it's a sexy photo shoot with a guy. Erin asks if Adam is cool with her shooting with other guys and Allie explains how he always gets a little bit jealous, but who really cares right now. Allie goes on to tell Erin about how connected Adam is down in Miami and warns Erin to be prepared because Adam and Jay are so crazy down there. Whitney, Erin, Adam, and Jay arrive in Miami at the Fontainebleau Resort in South Beach along with Jay's band mate Pottsy, and his girlfriend Jess. Everybody heads down to the pool, where Erin asks Whitney how things are going with Jay staying at her place. Whitney fills the girls in, saying that she's not ready for it to be too serious so she gave him two weeks, but she figures they'll at least get to know each other better in that two weeks.

  • Fool Me Twice, Shame On Me
At Diane von Furstenberg, Alixe Boyer calls Whitney and Olivia into her office with an urgent request from the Creative Director of Elle Magazine, Joe Zee, for them to pull together some possible outfits for Jessica Alba to wear on the March cover of Elle. Alixe asks them to pull five or six things from Spring Runway that would be ideal for the cover, putting Olivia in charge and asking Whitney to help her with the pull. Whitney and Olivia get straight to work on finding something that will really stand out for the cover shot. Olivia pulls a few things, pointing out to Whitney why they are cover material, and when Whitney pulls a colorful outfit that she feels is representative of the line, Olivia brushes it off as "too matchy, matchy." Olivia explains that because it's too much of the same thing, they won't use it for the cover. Whitney pushes to include the look, and finally agrees to keep it on the rack, just because it adds a little color.

  • I'm Sorry Whit
While hanging in the lobby of a movie theater, Jay starts telling Adam how excited he is about his upcoming tour. When Adam brings up Whitney, Jay explains that he hasn't told her yet. While Jay wants it to stay strong, he's going to be away for two months and wants to stay focused. Adam tells him that he shouldn't wait any longer to tell her because this could determine the future of their relationship. At Diane von Furstenberg, Alixe Boyer calls a meeting with Whitney, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Emese to discuss their new project. With Fashion Week coming up, Alixe tells them that next week their international PR teams will be arriving and they will be presenting a global PR strategy plan to them. Emese continues by saying DVF's expanded handbag collection will be one of the major collections they use, then tasking Whitney and Olivia to give a presentation about the line and what it stands for, as well as how they will pitch it to the press. After Alixe and Emese leave, Whitney and Elizabeth discuss how nerve-racking presentations are but Olivia is confident and advises, "You just don't think about it. You just look above their heads."

  • I Lost Myself In Us
At the DVF offices, Alixe and Emese call a meeting with Whitney and Olivia to discuss the details of Fashion Week that's coming up. Emese explains that the London team will also be there and they will need to determine who will be working closer with them, which will be a great opportunity for one of them. Adam pops in unannounced to speak with Erin at her work at One Management. Adam immediately expresses his concern about having to deal with too much drama in his life, especially because of Erin's meddling. Erin rebuttals by saying that she's just saying what everyone else is afraid to tell him. But Adam still defends his relationship with Allie and tells her to stay out of his life.

  • Sleeping With The Frenemy
Whitney's long-time friend Roxy Olin stops at the People's Revolution office in Soho to interview for a job with Kelly Cutrone. The two shake hands and make small talk about the weather and differences between New York and Los Angeles, where Roxy has recently moved from. When Kelly asks Roxy why she moved, Roxy sites the lack of organization and hectic atmosphere of her previous job in L.A. The conversation turns to Whitney. Roxy tells Kelly it's shocking that Whitney is in New York and working in fashion since she was always a plain Jane in high school who didn't look like she cared about fashion at all. Kelly asks Roxy if they are friends and get along. After a pause, Roxy says yes, they have always gotten along well, but if Whitney is constantly smiling it might get to her. Roxy admits that some people might think she's kind of a bitch, but she sees herself as a straight shooter.

  • Working Girls
Roxy steps out of line on her first day on the job, which makes Whitney question if working with her friend is a good idea. Meanwhile, Olivia wins Joe Zee's approval on a new project at ELLE. The episode opens at ELLE Magazine where Erin is briefing Joe Zee on the 'Today Show' segment about outfits for women on a budget. Erin explains that she asked Olivia to pull several options and sizes, but Olivia only came back with two outfits. She also reveals that when she tried to critique Olivia's choices, Olivia told Erin she could pull the items herself. Erin continues to explain that Olivia isn't used to hearing criticism and isn't a nice person. Joe says he wants to stand by his new hire and it is Erin's job to make it work.

  • It's All Who You Know
At Armani/Ristorante 5th Avenue, Joe Zee and Erin have lunch. Erin tells him that she and Olivia are working on their next big project, ELLE's Fall A to Zee, but she is worried about how it will turn out after Olivia's previous disappointing efforts. Erin says Olivia hasn't been receptive to her advice and Erin has had to fix Olivia's mistakes. Joe says he still feels Olivia is good for ELLE, but if she doesn't succeed at this, maybe her future isn't at their magazine. Later, Olivia and Erin make their way to the Badgley Mischka showroom as Erin explains the Fall A to Zee feature. Each letter in the alphabet is assigned a corresponding Fall trend or accessory, so Olivia must find a total of 26 pieces. Erin says she will help look at accessories at Badgley Mischka, but after that Olivia is on her own. Olivia says she only has one other visit planned for the day. Erin chuckles and says she may want to start reaching out to more designers soon.

  • Meet The Fackelmayers
At Jeffrey New York in the Meatpacking District, Whitney and Samantha shop for shoes. Samantha mentions an event Bergdorf Goodman is having later that night for a photographer who published a book about lifeguards -- some of whom will attend the party. Whitney asks if Roxy should come too, but Samantha thinks it should just be her and Whitney. The girls shop and joke about which styles of shoes they would wear for different types of dates. Then, Samantha throws a penny into a fountain to wish for cute boys at the party, but she misses the fountain completely. Whitney remarks "that could be a bad sign!" At ELLE, Erin shows Joe Zee the 'Page Six' mention of an upcoming party hosted by Carol Smith, ELLE's chief brand officer. Joe names several designers who are coming to the party and wants to invite Olivia. Erin says the party is about having fun but also about work. Joe calls Olivia to his office and extends the invitation. He points out it would be a great opportunity for Olivia to be introduced as part of the ELLE family and to get to know her outside of the office. Olivia thanks both Joe and Erin for the invitation.

  • Hit It And Quit It
At People's Revolution, Kelly Cutrone tells her staff they will collaborate with ELLE Magazine to put on an event to raise money for the KiptonART Foundation. Longchamp, an ELLE advertiser, will host the event. Kelly tells Whitney and Roxy they will be collaborating with Erin and Olivia from ELLE. After, Whitney tells Roxy that her ex-boyfriend, Jay, has been calling and texting her. Whitney admits they hooked up the last time he was in town, but now she wants to leave Jay in the past. "I did it, and then I quit it," she says. Still, Whitney feels she owes it to Jay to explain that their hookup didn't mean anything to her. Roxy disagrees and reminds her that she's involved with Freddie now. At ELLE, Erin gives Olivia details about the KiptonART Foundation benefit they will be working on with People's Revolution. Olivia mentions that she is friends with Kipton Cronkite and they may run into a former colleague from her days at Diane von Furstenberg who now works at People's Revolution. Erin instructs Olivia to direct the photographer and make sure they get great photos at the event. A smiling Olivia interrupts Erin and sums up the event as a cocktail party.

  • Weekend At Freddie's
While sunbathing in Central Park, Whitney tells Roxy that Freddie invited them to his family's home in the Hamptons. Samantha offered to drive them there. While she is excited about the trip, Roxy says she feels like Samantha is competing with her for Whitney. Whitney thinks they just need quality time together. She changes the subject by adding that Harry will also be meeting them in the Hamptons, and the girls joke about the interesting dynamic the five of them will have. At City View Racquet Club, Freddie and Whitney play tennis while talking about their upcoming Hamptons weekend trip. Whitney tells him she hopes Roxy and Samantha get along. When Freddie reminds her that Harry will join them before he goes to Nantucket, Whitney smiles as she says she can't wait to see him. At Milk Studios, Joe Zee gives Olivia and Erin the rundown for the day's work. Joe tells them ELLE's upcoming personal style issue will have an article featuring the styles of different fashion bloggers. He tells Olivia to interview each blogger about their style and draw out their personalities. He reminds her to find out things the readers would like to know about the bloggers. Joe says they don't have a lot of time, but to make sure to ask all the right questions they'll need for the article.

  • Friends And Foe-Workers
At People's Revolution, Kelly Cutrone leads a staff meeting. However, she stops the meeting when she sees Roxy talking. Kelly reminds the group that while other companies are firing employees, the People's Revolution team is growing. Kelly wants to keep it that way, but they'll need to step up their work. Kelly goes on to say that they will help designer Mara Hoffman as she debuts her swim collection in Miami. Kelly tells Whitney to attend in order to gain experience for her own future fashion line, and also invites Roxy to accompany her.At ELLE, Joe Zee tells Olivia that he wants her to cover Miami Fashion Week for the magazine, but he can't afford any mistakes. Erin will be there to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. Olivia tells Joe she can handle the task and he can rely on her. She tells Whitney that she has a bad feeling about him, but that almost makes her more attracted to him. At ELLE Magazine, Joe Zee asks Olivia to help with a photo shoot for model Brooklyn Decker. Olivia is to pull clothes and accessories for the menswear inspired shoot. When Erin arrives, Joe asks her to come to the shoot as well so that they can discuss PR initiatives with Brooklyn. Erin tells them she will definitely be there. Later, Whitney meets her blind date, Patrick at Bar Artisinal. Whitney apologizes for being late, but Patrick doesn't mind, instead complimenting her "bling" necklaces. Patrick says he's a salesman at Bergdorfs and asks Whitney if she shops on 5F. It takes Whitney a minute to realize that he's talking about his level at the store. Things get more confusing when Patrick uses the abbreviation LV for Louis Vuitton and gives Whitney condescending explanation of the difference between Dunks and hi-tops. p>
