  • The Big Three
    Kate is furiously working hard to shed her unwanted pounds as she continues to struggle with impatience and discouragement. She receives support from her new boyfriend, Toby, as he helps her let loose and enjoy herself. Beth begins to question the motives of Randall's biological father, William, and takes action in getting answers on his activities. Randall has a lot more on his mind with the new life-changing addition of having his biological father in his life. Marriage and raising three 8-year-old children is beginning to take its toll on Rebecca and Jack as they start to feel distant from one another. Kevin faces the aftermath of quitting his job as he deals with his agent, Lanie, and has to figure out how to move forward.

  • Kyle
    Rebecca encounters Randall's biological father when she makes a surprise visit to her son's home; Kevin decides to move to NYC to pursue a job on Broadway; and Toby plans a special day for Kate. In the past, Rebecca and Jack take their new babies home from the hospital and struggle to cope with the loss of a child.

  • The Pool
    Rebecca and Jake take the kids to a community pool, where they realize each child's unique struggles. In the future, Kevin auditions for a Broadway play; Toby runs into his ex-wife while on a date with Kate; and William's reported as a loiterer in Randall's predominantly white neighborhood, exposing deep-seated racial tensions.

  • The Game Plan
    Rebecca and Jack argue about starting a family; and the family's history of Pittsburgh Steelers fandom is revealed. In the future, Kevin notices parallels between a character and his own life; and Beth and Randall encounter an unexpected turn of events.

  • Career Days
    Kate interviews for a new job that seems perfect, but there's a catch; Randall has doubts about his career choice; and Kevin and Olivia's relationship takes a turn. In the past, Rebecca and Jack feel conflicted after Randall tests as a gifted child.

  • The Best Washing Machine In The Whole World
    Randall and Kevin's rocky relationship is explained; William unexpectedly reveals a secret to Beth; and Kate feels conflicted after Toby strays from his diet regimen. Elsewhere, Rebecca and Jack acknowledge the growing distance between them.

  • Pilgrim Rick
    Jack, Rebecca and the kids take an unexpected detour on their way to Thanksgiving dinner at Rebecca's parents' house. In the future, Kate makes two drastic decisions; Kevin invites Olivia to Randall's house for Thanksgiving; and Randall's heartbroken after learning a lifelong secret his mother kept from him.

  • The Trip
    Kate, Kevin and Randall visit their family's cabin after a chaotic Thanksgiving dinner; and a wedge is driven between Kate and Kevin after Olivia makes a harsh comment. In the past, a 9-year-old Randall reveals he's been searching for his birth parents.

  • Last Christmas
    The Pearsons discover Dr. K alone at the hospital on Christmas Eve after Kate's afflicted with appendicitis. In the present, Kevin celebrates Hanukkah with Sloane; Kate pursues her big surgery; and someone from William's past resurfaces.

  • The Right Thing To Do
    Kate struggles to cope during the aftermath of Toby's heart attack; William and Jesse grow closer, forcing Randall to become accustomed to their relationship; and Olivia unexpectedly resurfaces. In the past, Jack and Rebecca seek an affordable home in light of the news they'll be having triplets.

  • The Big Day
    An exhausted Rebecca forgets Jack's birthday, as their triplets' due date quickly approaches; Dr. K struggles to cope with the loss of his wife; and the firefighter who brought Randall to the hospital fights to save his marriage.

  • Three Sentences
    Rebecca and Jack become overwhelmed after deciding to throw three separate birthday parties for their kids. In the future, Randall struggles to make time for William; Kevin makes a big decision; and Kate's gastric-bypass journey takes an unexpected turn.

  • I Call Marriage
    Toby throws a wrench in Kate's weight-loss journey; Randall struggles to accept his father's deteriorating health; Miguel and Shelly break some devastating news to Jack and Rebecca, which makes them worry about their own relationship; Rebecca receives an amazing work opportunity; and Kevin examines his romantic past.

  • Jack Pearson's Son
    Kevin stresses about the premiere of his play and receives support from an unexpected source; Randall struggles under the pressure of both his work and ailing father; Rebecca and Jack's Valentine's Day doesn't go as planned; and Toby and Kate learn each other's secrets.

  • Memphis
    Randall and William take a road trip to Memphis, where Randall learns about his biological father's past.

  • What Now?
    The entire Pearson family gather at Randall's for an unusual party; Kevin and Sophie's relationship deepens on the night of his play's premiere; Kate struggles to open up to Toby about her father's death; and tensions are high between Jack and Rebecca as she leaves on tour with her band.

  • Moonshadow
    Jack heads to Cleveland to make things right with Rebecca on the night of her first big gig with the band. Then, Randall, Kate and Kevin make big decisions about their futures.
