The Gift Of Music
Kelvin, is an outgoing guy who runs a pro bono recording studio for kids to record and pursue their musical passions and helping them live out their dream. Operating the studio for no cost leaves him no money to make the studio as exciting and inspirational as he dreams it to be. Kelvin needs Antonio's innovative spirit and expertise to help him realize his dream of having a creative space to foster children's love for music. Antonio will create a cool functional, tech savvy space, which is inviting to both the eye and the work at hand. This space is divided into several areas, an isolation room for recording sound in a contained space, a high tech control panel area where technical work will be controlled from and an incorporated space for lounging, relaxing and observation. Also included is a ?kitchenette ? stocked with snacks and beverages for the hungry, aspiring, musicians. The space will feature walls that are layered in soundproofing with specialized pyramid sound foam in the isolation both. One wall the length of the studio will be a giant 3D graphic structure, which will create a visual anchor for the entire space and set a tone for the room. The opposite wall and ceiling will have floating light panels adding to the texture and modernization of the space besides adding interest visually. Custom built furniture will include: a custom build soundboard, risers and built in surface areas in the kitchenette. Art: A series of separate glass enclosures will case smashed guitars from popular artists such as Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day and Lindsey Lohan. Antonio also calls in his friends who are musicians and sound experts to donate gear and equipment for this new rockin' studio space.

Sign For Design
Matt is a stay at home dad who runs a graphic design business while pursuing his dream of being the first deaf syndicated cartoonist. His wife, Kay, is a sign language interpreter. Together they are raising their four year old, Hayden. Matt's creative headquarters has been delegated to the living room which is chalk full of distractions and has become a cluttered catastrophe. Because Matt is deaf, visual stimulation is very important for him and as an artist he needs to have a space that nurtures his creativity; however, that same space must allow for them to enjoy time together as a family around their prized fireplace that Kay adores. Antonio's mission for Matt and Kay is to split the room and give Kay her living space back and to create and efficient way to provide a functional and inspiring office for Matt that promotes easy access. Antonio visits one of Matt's heroes, famous cartoonist, Stephen Silver, to see just what a successful cartoonist needs in a home office. A beautiful red custom L shaped desk with a lift up draft table, animation disc, and hiding space for the printer become Matt's creative command station. Antonio brings in a state of the art piece of drawing equipment, the Cintiq, to elevate Matt's cartoon career to a new level. Famous cartoons are displayed above Matt's desk to inspire him. The living room is returned to Kay and features a stunning and impressive new mantle, showcasing the fireplace that is the heart of their family. Using a special fade technique, the paint on the walls graduates in color from dark grey at the floor base to a light blue'ish grey at the ceiling. To help stimulate creativity, Antonio introduces a modern take on Michael Angelo's ?The Creation of Adam? by blowing up the famous hands and applying the graphic onto ceiling. With the Sistine Chapel in mind, the ceiling is painted using a Fresco technique to add a bit of age to his modern interpretation. Stephen Silver stops by the house to draw a cartoon of Antonio and the team. Lastly, Visual Alert devices are introduced to the home to help serve the family's unique needs.

Mario Lopez's Home Gym
Mario Lopez is well known for his physique and has even published a book about his workout and diet regime. Even though Mario holds his fitness as a top priority, his gyms at his home and office are in bad condition. It's evident that boxing is one of Mario's favorite sports by the punching bags, boxing gloves and framed pictures of boxers on the walls of his makeshift gyms. Antonio & Mario step into the ring and box to help Antonio get in the mindset for a boxing gym makeover. Antonio updates the overall look of Mario's home gym while still preserving his sense of style and adding a designer's edge. Antonio gets input from Mario's personal trainer, as well as a visit from boxing great Sugar Ray Leonard.

Fashionable Redesign
Sarah Dale, a former punk rocker, has been the very proud owner of local fashion store ?Pull My Daisy? since she purchased the former thrift store ten years ago. Loving the area where she lives and works, Sarah operates her store with a community first mentality. All of the clothing sold at ?Pull My Daisy? comes from local Los Angeles designers. The local community vibe is so strong that Sarah's old dog, Bingo, became a local area mascot. With the economy being tight, Sarah has done her best to create a welcoming and marketable space but has had limited success. Only recently, she's merged with fellow retailer Caprice Grey's ?Grey Accessories? to increase revenue Antonio wants to channel the art deco 20's vibe with a twist of punk rock. After painting the ceiling a flat black and the walls a tint of grey, Antonio lines both walls with eight-foot tall, white, palm tree cut outs, creating an impressive layering, domino effect with the silhouettes. A custom service desk with plentiful display shelving is built to fit the center of the space and is stocked with a brand new point of sale machine, which is a serious upgrade from their calculator and moneybox. Inspired by some of his dad's famous work, Antonio visits a mannequin gallery to have custom vintage mannequins made for the space. Antonio calls in couture fashion designer, Bao Tranchi, to dress the mannequins and stylize the merchandise for the window displays. Really adding to the 'Wow!' factor, Antonio covers the entire back wall in an impressive, 20's style, black and white graphic featuring a female face, which he repeats all across the storefront windows. A real dog lover at heart, Antonio continues his dedication to Bingo with a full shrine at the front of the custom desk that greets you when you enter the store. The vintage photo booth that already existed in the store was given a face-lift and Antonio added a picture of Bingo as the background in the photo booth so any visitor to the store can have their picture taken with Bingo.

Thread On Arrival
Wendi is a mother and a former professional singer turned clothing designer. With her job developer husband, Eric, they just had they're first child Ivy. With the newest addition to their family Wendi and Eric are having trouble finding the time and the space to make their apartment a creative space to thrive in. Wendi moved her sewing studio into the dining room in order to give Ivy a nursery. What once was a functional dining room is now cluttered with spools of thread, bits of fabric, a sewing machine and various other creative tools. Antonio's mission for Wendi is to give her living space back and to create and efficient way to hide her workspace by having it fold up and hide away leaving her living room for her and her family with no obstructions. Three custom made cabinets become ?transformer pieces? in the living room. Two of these cabinets are made of beautiful reclaimed wood and look like artwork on the wall but the secret is all Wendi's sewing needs are hidden inside them. Once you open them up the living room transforms into a functional workspace. When the pieces fold back up?the living room returns to an unobstructed comfortable family space. The third cabinet is a hideaway sewing machine station. Walking into the room no one would know this cabinet holds multiple sewing machines and a pull out desk with lights. The dining room is turned back into a beautiful eating space with a new table, custom paint color on the wall and a special treatment of metal flake to the ceiling to make it sparkle. The nursery reflects their desire for a peaceful cohesive home while adding design elements that create unexpected visual impact. Antonio has his tattoo artist friend draw beautiful butterflies & swallows that he then has made into large cutouts that hang on the Wall & painted in vibrant colors.

Southern Exposure
Catarah and Shoneji grew up in the South watching their grandmothers bake delicious Southern desserts that brought their families together for meals. After they both moved out west, they took that inspiration and formed their own dessert company to continue in their Grandmother's tradition. The delicious baked goods soon became a hit in Los Angeles and the girls were on their way. They sell their desserts out of a coffee shop but the main issue they face is the lack of atmosphere in their shop. As much as the food and the service scream out with a Southern vibe, the shop's lackluster walls and lack of display space does nothing to enhance it. They want people to step in their shop and have the feel like they've stepped into the South. Antonio's marquee design element for this space is multi-colored reclaimed wood that is featured through out the cafe. Each piece of wood is uniquely placed and colored invoking the feeling of entering a southern country home. Antonio's has a light green concrete slab counter custom made for the cafe. The color creates the perfect neutral palate that will really feature the cupcakes. Antonio calls on his friend, artist Peter Shire, to create an art piece, which will serve as the focal point of the cafe. The piece is part sculpture, part cupcake display tower. Completing the look of the cafe is a colorful new set of inviting and comfortable chairs and tables. Each chair and table is a unique custom item created with Hooper's invocative mixtures of paints and applications. The dramatic new look continues outside with a custom painted awning featuring graffiti cupcakes that both attracts new customers from the outside and continues to amuse the customers with hidden colorful cupcakes underneath.

Little Bar With A Big Need
Drawing inspiration from a bar he used to own back east, as well as flea markets and his personal travel, Antonio's contemporary eye and down to earth attitude breathes new life into a Los Angeles nightspot. The owner, who lost his business partner to cancer, finds renewed passion to continue on with the venture in his friend's memory.

Antonio Creates The Ultimate Rock And Roll Hollywood Hotel Suite
Built in the mid 1950's for celebrities, entertainers and Hollywood visitors, the Highland Gardens Hotels has served as a temporary home to the Rat Pack, Brad Pitt, and Siegfried & Roy. The hotel's biggest claim to fame is Room 105, where legendary rocker Janis Joplin died from an overdose on October 4, 1970. The Baklayan family purchased the property three-years after Joplin's death but hasn't updated much of the decor in that entire time with the exception of recent renovation of the lobby. Needless to say, this rock and roll landmark needs a rock and roll makeover. The owners want a party room to rent out and Antonio is just the guy to give it to them. Antonio's mission is to open the space up and give this suite a shocking design that some people will love and others may hate. Antonio and his team tear out the wall that divides the main living room space from the galley kitchen. The worn out old kitchen is updated & upgraded with all new stainless steel appliances including all black countertops and cabinets. The kitchen also has a sleek design that matches the personal home kitchen of Antonio. The tired orange carpet is ripped out of the living room and in its place comes beautiful hardwood floors. An oversized pink rhino head which is places as a focal art piece on the wall makes an ?Antonio statement? and becomes his new pink duck. In opposition to the sleek modern design on the living room, Antonio goes 70's retro in the bedroom, ripping up the carpet and bringing in purple shag and a sunburst paint treatment. The headboard is designed in the form of an oversized cobra head; with the tail swirling it's way around all four walls of the room. With a bed covered in an American flag quilt, the effect is like stepping into a rock and roll poster. A smoke machine and lasers top off the look. Lastly, a bathroom is covered with graffiti as wallpaper inspired by bathrooms of a similar design from the bar Antonio managed when he lived in New York city.

Culture Shock
Jen and Jason are from small town Virginia, met at a church picnic and have lived relatively sheltered lives. The couple moved out to Southern California in pursuit of Hollywood dreams. Jen is an aspiring actress while Jason is working as a delivery driver who works nights. Jen is also one of the most organized people and keeps everything in her home in perfect order. Having recently moved to the big city, they miss their rural roots and hate their ugly condo. Equipped with furniture found online, the room lacks functionality. Their living room currently is an empty room with one chair. The Wayne's are just looking for a place that they can call home.

Design Club
Every day, The Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood strives to improve each child's life by instilling self-esteem, courage, and positive values through educational programs. Their youth come to The Club to receive tutoring, homework assistance, computer training sports, social recreation, education, mentoring, arts & crafts and so much more. They gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness, competence and belonging. The boys and girls of the Hollywood location of the Boys and Girls club have to face the dangers of the world everyday, whether it be shootings in their neighborhoods, drug sales on the streets or just the general overwhelm of Hollywood itself, so it is important for them to have the club as a safe space for them to just be kids. Antonio's mission is to create a space that fosters a child's creativity and artistic expression while addressing the Club's issues of storage and functionality for the art room space. Antonio's design is to simplify the space without clutter and make use of the natural light that spills in through 3 large windows. He builds an ?art bar? along the windows so the kids/artists can see their creations in natural sunlight. Facing the windows also allows for better concentration and inspiration. Plus this art bar creates an additional workspace for the kids to create art with plenty of tools & supplies in arms reach. Antonio takes away the boring grey industrial floor and creates a floor that has color & inspires creativity. The design of the floor will also maintain a great look no matter how many paint stains or scratches it has on it. Antonio creates a gallery wall to display the children's art. Not only is the wall clean & simple but the artwork is also framed properly and lit by track lighting. This allows the work to be proudly displayed. There is now plenty of storage in large cabinets & cubbies that are custom build and they hold all the art supplies the club could ever need. Lastly, Antonio creates an inspiration wall that holds hanging clouds with wood cutout ducks that Antonio has the kids paint and design to their liking. This wall expresses who they are as individuals and budding artists.

A Magical Makeover
After 5 years of a long distance relationship, Joel & Lizz have finally found their own space and moved in together. Joel is living the life of a successful magician and Lizz is a professional dancer. The two are a very creative couple but their home is far from reflecting it. With both of them holding down jobs entertaining others, they're consistently pulled across the country for work and have little time to fix up their space. Being on the road for so much of their lives, it's important that the couple has a comfortable place to call home. Currently their space is a neutral bore of wasted dead space. Joel and Lizz are up for anything but Lizz detests pink so Antonio will have to find a new ?go to? color. Antonio starts off his design process by visiting the world famous Magic Castle to get some inspiration. He leaves with a new appreciation for vintage magic posters, antique magic tricks, owls, and bunnies. In Joel & Lizz's home Antonio addresses the monster fireplace and gives it new life by cladding the entire wall with stacked stone. Antonio introduces a little ?modern country glam? into the space by stripping back the painted header beams, painting antler chandeliers with black glitter, and by bringing in cowhide chairs and a giant white boom box. The walls are painted a modest, neutral, shade of dusty blue to allow for the decorative elements in the room to provide the shots of color. Antonio calls in guest artist, Shivie from Sundial Powder Coating to coat an antique birdcage in a shade of orchid pink. Antonio shops for the perfect modern furniture that also has a country edge and picks out the perfect frame for a giant custom mirror to complete the rehearsal area of the space. An enormous marlin is modified and customized with a pink fin to hang as the focal point over the fireplace. Antonio pulls out all his tricks, makes Lizz love pink and gives the couple a place to entertain, rest, relax and rehearse in this magical makeover.

Rock 'N Roll Bachelorette Pad
Jenna Barnes is the band manager and marketing guru for Juke Kartel, a well-known rock band in their native Australia who is on the brink of hitting it big in the U.S. Lead singer Toby Rand is more than Jenna's client; he's her roommate, too. As a way of saying ?thank you? to Jenna, Toby and his bandmates have enlisted Antonio to help create a living space fit for their dear friend. Jenna's space doesn't reflect her personality and her home has to function as a hangout spot, work environment as well as a place to unwind from her fast-paced work life. Antonio is creating a relaxing space for Jenna to escape her hectic rock and roll work schedule. Antonio and his team reconfigure her bulky living room space into a more relaxing oasis, by closing off the dining area from the living room. They do this by using simple architectural screens that create a whole new living space while separating the two rooms with style. Antonio takes some key furniture pieces, including a TV cabinet, and gives them a facelift. He also finds a new use for the non-functioning fireplace & mantle by also giving it a facelift and making it the focal point of the room. He does a mosaic broken glass design with mirror pieces over the entire fireplace front and mantle. Photographs are taken during Juke Kartel's concert at the Viper Room to hang as wall art in the living room space to give it a rock & roll edge. Beautiful fabrics are chosen for window treatments & accent pillows to keep the Zen vibe along with the rock vibe.

Less Talk, More Rock
Toby is the long time singer for a punk band and his wife Moon is a bookkeeper with an obsession for everything 1950's. Her decor is 100% vintage and Toby absolutely hates it. Toby dreams of something modern and comfortable where he's not embarrassed to entertain family and friends. Then there's Max, their six-year-old son an aspiring drummer who wants his bedroom free of monsters. Antonio tackles the living room, dining room and kitchen, finding a way to dial in the kitsch but still retain a funky retro style. He also gives their son Max a cool new rock-star bedroom, and uses a unique design trick to keep out the monsters!
