Week One
Jake returns to the Malibu mansion where he first met Jillian. Tonight his life will start to change forever as 25 gorgeous bachelorettes have traveled across the U.S. to meet him - and they'll do anything to become his wife and share a life with him. Jake is blown away by a stunning model, who is the first woman out of the limo. A bold, fast-talking bachelorette wastes no time, asking the handsome Bachelor whether she can touch his impressive abs, and a sexy blonde also isn't afraid to come on strong, literally falling into Jake's arms. Inside, the party takes off quickly as the women swoon when Jake makes the rounds and greets each bachelorette. One charming woman confesses her fear of flying, and an alluring teacher causes a stir when she dons a revealing flight attendant's uniform and steals Jake away from an unsuspecting single mom. After an athletic hottie grabs Jake to play touch football, it's blondes vs. brunettes in the first sexy, barefoot-in-eveningwear football scrimmage in Bachelor history! However, once Chris Harrison interrupts the cocktail party to bring out the "first impression" rose, the competition intensifies. The pressure is too much for one teary-eyed beauty, who breaks down when she doesn't get enough time with Jake. Just as the women think it's time for the Bachelor to hand out the coveted first impression rose, Chris announces a twist: the ladies not only must impress Jake, but also last season's happy couple Jillian and Ed. The women cheer as the former Bachelorette and her fianc join Jake to help him with his tough decision, hoping that he will find a love like theirs. And then the happy couple will share a special announcement with Jake. The Bachelor bestows his first impression rose on a surprised and grateful woman. Finally, Jake must eliminate ten of the 25 women the first night, leaving 15 to compete for his affections, and in the end, his heart.
Week Two
The 15 remaining bachelorettes move into their luxurious villa in Malibu, and the fairy tale begins. One lucky woman will get a fabulous one-on-one date: Jake will personally pilot the bachelorette to a romantic desert getaway in Palm Springs, where they will be serenaded by rock superstar group Chicago. One group date will give six women a chance to strut their stuff in a sexy photo shoot for InStyle Magazine, and the five women on the other group date are treated to a VIP visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain. However, some of the women will not have a date at all before the next rose ceremony, encouraging them to aggressively steal any time they can with the handsome pilot. But nothing can prepare Jake for the bombshell that will be dropped.
Week Three
Twelve bachelorettes remain. Two of them get one-on-one dates (to San Diego's Sea World and bungee jumping in the San Gabriel Mountains, respectively), and eight others accompany Jake to the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club in Hollywood, where they're on the bill. Following the club outing, one contestant finds nothing funny about a rooftop party in downtown L.A., and another contestant displeases Jake and is dispatched prior to the rose ceremony. Following it, the field stands at nine.
Week Four
The Bachelor surprises the nine remaining women with a road trip up the picturesque California coast. Along the way, Jake will have roses at the ready on a one-on-one date, a group date and a dramatic two-on-one date, where only one woman can receive a rose. One lucky woman will snag an intimate date with Jake at a beautiful winery, but it will be up to the Bachelor to see if opposites really do attract. Six women will accompany Jake on a wild day of dune buggying, but with just one rose, the competition turns fierce. A romantic date with two anxious bachelorettes has Jake wondering if he can make a difficult choice. But, in the end, he makes some heartbreaking and shocking decisions that lead to unexpected exits, setting off a firestorm of emotions among the women.
Week Five
The pressure is really on, as Jake struggles to decide which four women he will escort home to meet their families. But first, the five remaining bachelorettes end their adventurous road trip in the romantic city of San Francisco. This week there will three individual dates and one two on-one date, but no roses are at stake. The rivalry between the women intensifies and tensions are running high as their feelings for Jake grow.
Week Six
The stakes are high for Jake as he leaves his Los Angeles home for an exciting, emotionally charged journey across the country to visit the final four women's hometowns. Why is Gia afraid of falling in love? How will Ali's mother judge Jake in comparison to her past boyfriends? Is Tenley really ready for a new relationship after her tough divorce? And what part will Vienna's father play in the drama between Jake and his daughter? Just when Jake feels confident of his next decision, one bachelorette turns everything upside down in a single, gut-wrenching moment, leaving Jake reeling.
Week Seven
Romantic adventures await Jake and the final three women Gia, Tenley and Vienna as they travel to the picturesque Caribbean island of St. Lucia. From the rain forest to an old sugar plantation to a pirate ship, the dates are filled with excitement and passion, as Jake continues to explore what his future would be like with each of these potential mates. At the end of each evening, Jake will present the bachelorette with an invitation to spend an intimate night together in a "fantasy suite," with the hope that she will accept. But will she? It's a wild, romantic ride with each of the women until Jake has to make another heart-wrenching decision tremendously complicated by a departed bachelorette who pleads for a second chance.
The Women Tell All
Fifteen spurned bachelorettes confront Jake and each other in a program that also includes outtakes from the season, a preview of the finale and appearances by former bachelors and bachelorettes, who talk about their lives since they were on the show.
Week Nine
It's down to Tenley and Vienna as Jake makes his final decision on the Caribbean island St. Lucia. But first, there's one last date with each (a volcanic mud bath for Vienna and snorkeling for Tenley). Both women also meet Jake's family, and Jake's family has serious questions about both ladies.
Jason And Molly's Wedding
Jason Mesnick, "The Bachelor" for 2009, and Molly Malaney, the woman he chose after rejecting her at the final rose ceremony, exchange wedding vows. The program also includes wedding preparations, and highlights of bachelor and bachelorette parties, as well as interviews with past "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" couples.
