With the help of his friends, Glenn, an ex-con, and Chris, a burned-out high school teacher, Josh cooks up schemes to help pay back his father's money. Lee Harvey Osworld Glenn discovers evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald lived in his family home. Inspired to capitalize on this project, he goes to the mayor to propose that they build a memorial site and amusement park called "Lee Harvey Osworld". Josh decides to retake a history test that he failed in high school to help turn his life around. Fad Diet Glenn realizes that there is something missing from his life, and that thing is an iguana. With his new pet in tow, he finds that making friends is much easier than ever before. Meanwhile, the guys stumble upon an amazing new weight loss plan that just might help Cheddar Creek turn into the thriving business that Carl always dreamed of. Chris Moves In After getting evicted from his home, Chris goes to live in his classroom. But when the violent janitors and the lack of privacy start driving him crazy, he moves in with Josh. Josh finds that his family seems to like Chris more than they like him. Josh Goes To Work Josh starts working at his father's restaurant, leaving Chris and Glenn no choice but to find a new friend who has more free time. Jeremy Gets Caught Josh hatches a plot to reveal Jeremy's secret life, leading to another level in the brothers' relationship after the younger one is exposed and punished. Therapy Josh decides that his dysfunctional family is the source of his problems and convinces them to go to family therapy. The tides turn against him when their unlicensed therapist decides that Josh is the source of the family's troubles. Chris Is Mayor For 24 Minutes When the Mayor goes under anesthesia for a colonoscopy, Chris is the acting mayor for 24 minutes. During that time, he has a rapid rise, and just as rapid fall, in popularity, ego, and friends. Meanwhile, Jeremy's shady dealings have landed Linda in jail, and Josh is not happy about it. Chris Falls In Love Burnt out on teaching, Chris contemplates giving up, but he finds hope when he falls in love with Josh's mom. His new lease on life is put on hold when Josh finds out about his love and threatens to end their friendship. The Interview Josh is offered a new job at hedgefund from one of his former colleagues. While his dad and Jeremy are both excited to see him fly the coop, Linda, Chris and Glenn are all devastated and don't want him to leave.
