Celebrity Rehab EpisodesSeason 2

Back To Pazsaz Entertainment Network's Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew Page

  • Episode 201
Gary Busey Steven Adler, Jeff Conaway, Rodney King, Tawny Kitaen, Nikki McKibbin, Amber Smith and Sean Stewart enter rehab. As the celebrity patients check in, Dr. Drew meets with each of them one-on-one to gain an understanding of their history of abuse and the severity of their problems. As intake day draws to a close, Gary Busey informs Dr. Drew that he is not here seeking treatment, but is instead expecting to act as an adjunct to Drew and his staff. In fact, Gary argues that his sobriety is safe after thirteen years clean. Dr. Drew reasons that Gary is here to strengthen his sobriety. Gary feels that unless treated by the staff as a mentor, and not as a patient, he will be forced to leave Celebrity Rehab.

  • Episode 202
Dr. Drew's patients have only recently checked in to Celebrity Rehab, but there is already a major predicament. Gary Busey is feeling insecure about his place amongst the patients. He would like to make it clear to Dr. Drew that he is here to provide assistance and guidance. Gary's insistence on administering care - rather than receiving it - is a major concern for Dr. Drew. It's unclear yet whether Gary will be able to join the group, or keep setting himself apart from it. Day 2 of Celebrity Rehab begins and all is not well. Several of the patients are detoxifying from the dangerous drugs on which their bodies have become physiologically dependent. In the first group process meeting, Dr. Drew and his staff point out that the first obstacle they must face in treatment is the fear of kicking their drug habits, which can be a painful and uncomfortable experience. Dr. Drew likens the process to grieving - a notion that resonates with most of the patients.

  • Episode 203
It's day four of Celebrity Rehab and the patients have finally begun to emerge from the painful sickness of withdrawal. Now the real work can begin. Dr. Drew believes it is important at this point to start exploring the feelings that move drug addicts to use in the first place. One of the first steps in doing this is figuring out what sort of community the current group of patients is forming. Will they bond over their common illness, or will emerging conflicts have a splintering effect? As rehabilitation progresses, emotions begin to surface for the celebrities under Dr. Drew's care. Rodney King addresses the guilt he feels at not being a continuous part of each of his three daughters' lives. Sean Stewart identifies with the notion of an absentee father from the perspective of the child and relates that he struggled with feeling abandoned whenever his famous father, Rod Stewart, would go on tour. Dr. Drew says that part of the process of overcoming addiction is learning to forgive, so healing can begin and healthy relationships can emerge.

  • Episode 204
As the midpoint of Celebrity Rehab 2 draws near, the patients at Pasadena Recovery Center are going to start facing tough emotional issues while they explore what is behind their addictive behavior. With this in mind, Dr. Drew leads a discussion about mothers, a subject that can be particularly touchy to some addicts. Steven Adler's abandonment issues, for example, are a direct result of a dysfunctional relationship with his mother. Amber Smith shares that she was forced to support her drug-addicted mother at a very young age. Nikki McKibbin can also relate, as her mother's death was a result of many years of alcohol and drug abuse. Dr. Drew recognizes that he struck a nerve with this sensitive topic and it needs to be further addressed on an individual basis. He calls Nikki in for a one-on-one and she admits that she didn't realize how much her mother influenced her own addiction. However, she still blames herself for her mother's death, and yet simultaneously resents her mother for showing her how to use in the first place. Drew also approaches Amber with the idea of getting treatment for her mother, a notion to which Amber has lukewarm response because she fears her mother's reaction might be unfavorable.

  • Episode 205
In his most desperate act yet, Jeff Conaway has called 911 and informed the authorities that he's being held against his will. The police arrive and Jeff tells them he's in pain and wants to go home, but Dr. Drew is worried that Jeff is suicidal. Dr. Drew relates that he fears Jeff's going to intentionally hurt him self or accidentally overdose on meds. The officers ask Jeff if he often makes references to suicide. Jeff admits that he talks about it to get the stress out, but wouldn't actually go through with it. The police recommend Jeff stay put at the Pasadena Recovery Center, or go to Las Encinas hospital... but they don't feel comfortable sending him home. Frustrated with his choices, Jeff ultimately decides to stay and Dr. Drew is grateful.

  • Episode 206
It is now the halfway point in treatment and it's time for Family Weekend!! As the patients move into the next stage of treatment, they begin to focus on how to take action to move forward in their recovery. Dr. Drew and his staff are faced with the challenge to help patients reconnect with their friends and family as they work toward solutions. However as Dr. Drew moves forward with building everyone up for Family Weekend, inevitably patients begin to unravel. The patients end Family Weekend by gathering around a small bonfire to perform the God Box ceremony. Each person acknowledges past resentments on pieces of paper and lets them go with God and burn in the fire. It was a magical moment right at sunset... a perfect ending.

  • Episode 207
It's day fifteen at rehab, and the patients are starting to feel better; more vibrant and alive. So much so that the guys are suddenly waking up to the fact that there is a very sexy woman in their midst that they have hardly noticed: Shelly. The ever professional Shelly brushes off the complimets and focuses the patients on the task at hand: how to stay sober once they have left the safe environment of the recovery center. Dr. Drew reminds the patients that being of a service is a great way to stay grounded in recovery, and informs Sean, Tawny, Amber and Steven that he has arranged for them to volunteer at the Midnight Mission, serving food to the homeless.

  • Episode 208
It's day 18 of Celebrity Rehab and the patients are getting a first hand look of what relapse is all about. Seth "Shifty" Binzer, a graduate of last year's program, is on the roof, smoking crack while Shelly tries desperately to get him down and into the PRC for the safety of himself and the entire unit. When Seth finally enters the rehab facility, he doesn't come empty handed. He has hamsters, remote controlled toys, and a few drugs still up his sleeves. As Shelly tries to do her assessment with Seth, he becomes combative and tries to leave one more time. Luckily, with Shelly's persistence, Seth stops fighting the process and goes to bed.

  • Episode 209
Dr. Drew and the patients say their final goodbyes. Dr. Drew wishes his congratulations to those who are continuing on to sober living, and he feels their decision will increase their chances of their success. They leave together... on to sober living.
