Episode 1701
This season will shake things up this season by transitioning to a one night, two-hour format. The premiere episode will kick off with a spectacular opening number featuring the entire cast. Each couple will then perform a Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Contemporary routine, vying for America's vote for the first time.
Episode 1702
Featuring a show-stopping opening number choreographed by Sharna Burgees and Henry Byalikov, the themed evening will require each couple to perform a Samba, Jive, Rumba or Paso. At the end of the night, one couple will face the first nail-biting elimination. The first elimination is determined by combining the judges' scores from the first two weeks with the public votes from premiere night.
Episode 1703
It's Hollywood night on "Dancing with the Stars," as 11 remaining couples take to the ballroom floor. Featuring a spectacular opening number with the entire cast, each couple will take on a dance style that they have not previously performed including the Quickstep, Foxtrot, Charleston, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.
Episode 1704
10 remaining couples take to the ballroom floor and two-time professional champion Julianne Hough returns to guest judge for the first time alongside Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. The show will feature an opening number with the entire cast choreographed by Ray Leeper and each couple will compete in a dance style that they have not previously performed. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.
Episode 1705
Each couple will dance to a song of the celebrities choosing that encompasses a memorable time or experience in their life. These heartfelt performances promise to be some of the most intense and emotional of the season.
Episode 1706
Each couple will compete in an individual dance style they have not yet done as well as take part in the first ever "Switch-Up Challenge." In this fresh take on a dance marathon, couples will compete side by side, in two rounds, with no prior knowledge of dance style or musical accompaniment. One by one, the judges will select couples to be tapped-off/removed from the dance floor.
Episode 1707
The night begins with a spectacular opening number choreographed by Emmy Nominated choreographer, Mandy Moore. The competition will then be split into two rounds. In the first round, each couple will take on a dance style they have not previously performed including the Salsa, Quickstep, Samba, Cha Cha, Paso Doble, and Jive. In the second round, the cast will dance together in two separate teams, with each couple having a featured solo. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.
Episode 1708
Cher opens the show with a dazzling and spectacular performance of her hit song "Believe" before joining judges' Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba to give critiques and scores on each celebrity routine. The seven remaining couples will compete in two rounds of dance. In the first round, each couple will take on a dance style they have not previously performed including the Tango, Argentine Tango, Contemporary, Viennese Waltz, Jazz, Disco, and Foxtrot. The couple to receive the highest total score from the judges in this round will receive immunity and not be subject to elimination. In the second round, the six remaining couples will compete in a thrilling head-to-head "dance off" competition. The winning couples of the "dance off" round will be awarded additional Judges' points that will be added to their overall score for the night. At the end of the show, Cher will perform her new single, "I Hope You Find It" from her current album, "Closer To The Truth", which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Pop Charts, before one couple is eliminated.
Episode 1709
The couples compete in two rounds of dance. In the first round, each couple will take on an individual dance in a style they have not previously performed including the Viennese Waltz, Tango, Charleston, Argentine Tango and Quickstep. In the second round, the couples take on a new challenge and dance with an eliminated pro or troupe member as part of dynamic trio. The trio dance routine will be in a style the celebrity has not yet performed including the Samba, Jive, Salsa, Paso Doble and Jazz. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.
Episode 1710
Not a stranger to expressing his strong opinion, Maksim is sure to unleash his unique brand of critique during the intense semi-final competition. The night will begin with a spectacular opening number by choreographer Mandy Moore, featuring the pro dancers. The couples then must rise to a new challenge and perform to two different versions of the same song. In the first round of competition, the couples will perform either a Jazz, Paso Doble, Cha Cha or Tango routine to an original or "plugged" version of their selected song. In round two of competition, the couples will perform either a Viennese Waltz, Argentine Tango or Rumba routine to an acoustic or "unplugged" version of that same song. Special musical guests will accompany the unplugged performances including singer Kerli, who will perform a version of Fall Out Boy's "My Song Knows (Light em up)," and YouTube sensation Noah Guthrie who will perform his popular cover of "Sexy & I Know It." At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.
Episode 1711
Season 16 Champion Kellie Pickler returns to open up the show with her country hit "Little Bit Gypsy," accompanied by the pro dancers. The four remaining couples will then compete in three rounds of dance. In the first round, each couple will take on the "Judges Pick" and repeat a selected routine from earlier in the season. In round two, the couples will be challenged to a Samba relay, where each pair dances to a different section of the same song. The Samba relay will be accompanied by 90's hip hop group TLC who will perform their classic hit "No Scrubs." In the last round, and one of the biggest competitive dances of the season, the couples take on a supersized freestyle featuring special effects, additional dancers and unexpected surprises. At the end of night, one couple will be eliminated based on the previous weeks' viewer votes, combined with the judges' scores from Monday night.
Episode 1711A
The couples will perform a new routine as part of a "24 Hour Fusion Challenge." During Monday night's show, the remaining couples will choose songs for their competitors that fuse two contrasting dance styles and they'll all have less than 24 hours to prepare that dance for judges' points the following night. The finale will feature performances by Lady Antebellum who will perform their new single "Compass," and Enrique Iglesias will sing his current hit "Heart Attack." The entire celebrity cast returns including: Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Brant Daugherty, Keyshawn Johnson, Christina Milian, Bill Nye, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Leah Remini and Valerie Harper who will dance with partner Tristan MacManus to a version of "What a Wonderful World" by singer Colbie Caillat. In addition, Ylvis will perform their hit single "The Fox," accompanied by select celebrity and pro dancers. At the end of the night, the public vote from Monday night will be combined with the judges' scores from both nights to crown the Season 17 Champion.
