Face The Ace premiered on NBC on August 1, 2009. Amateurs challenge world-class poker players in Las Vegas for the chance to win a grand prize of $1 million in this reality-poker show. Contestants, who win their way onstage by qualifying online, select one of four Ace players to challenge. If the amateur wins, he or she can take the winnings and go home, or use those winnings to challenge another Ace. Another win leads to the same choice - take the money and run, or challenge another player. A loss means the amateur goes home with nothing.
