Memphis Blues Nick travels with his dad on a business trip to Memphis, and he also performs at a location where legend has it that bluesman Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil. Fireman Gene Gene visits his mother, who lives in Long Island, and learns that she has volunteered him to host a fire-department fund-raiser, which includes Gene training with the firefighters. Godfather Gene, Parts 1 & 2 When Gene and Shannon hit New Jersey to be the Godfather to a friend's newborn grandson Shannon inadvertently starts a feminist uprising amongst the subservient wives when she refuses to fall into line with tradition. Economic Stimulus While Gene rings the bell at the New York Stock Exchange and spreads the word about investing in America, Shannon does some spending of her own when she gets addicted to late night infomercials. Slumber Party When Shannon falls ill it is up to Gene to keep an eye on Sophie and her five hyper friends, fend off a hoard of horny boys trying to crash the party, and track down one girl who sneaks out for a little rendezvous. Who Dunnit? Shannon talks the family into having a '70s-themed murder-mystery party in an effort to promote family togetherness. Grapes Of Wrath Shannon and Tracy spend a weekend at a vineyard to please an investor Gene doesn't want to offend; Nick works to meet a deadline for his comic book. Puppy Love When Gene's nephews' dog dies, he lends them Snippy, hoping it will ease the sorrow, but he also tries to find then a new dog before they become too attached to Snippy. Dirty Little Secrets Like father, like son. Gene and Nick are both caught in embarrassing situations they must hide from Shannon. Movin' Out A foreign-exchange student visits Sophie and stays with the family, and Nick moves into his own apartment for the summer, but he runs into problems with his landlord. Derby Queen Gene becomes the homemaker and Shannon the breadwinner when the kids convince Shannon to return to acting after she is offered a role in a new Roller Derby exploitation film. Fresh Meat While Shannon recovers from her roller derby accident Gene continues to handle the day-to-day household chores, and Nick entertains a friend and his "cougar" mother from out of town. Gene The Slacker Gene has a work-free week, and the family comes to appreciate all that he does, and they find a way to show their thanks. Rootin' Tootin' Gene Gene goes to Nashville to promote a country band as a favor to KISS's manager. Sex And Rock N' Roll Nick's band's gear is stolen moments before their first gig; and Shannon talks Gene into attending a dinner party, but doesn't realize that the host has a hidden agenda. Letters Lost While Gene is in Japan filming a monster movie Shannon and Tracy go antiquing and buy a piece of furniture that sends them on a search for its original owner.
