Hey Paula Page
Episode 1
A whirlwind 48 hours lies ahead for the star and "Team Abdul." As Abdul gets red-carpet ready for the Grammys, her Chihuahua "Chomps" chomps down on a loaned million dollar antique ring, much to the chagrin of the overprotective jewelry rep, and a call from the Bratz filmmakers creates additional drama. Immediately after the awards, Abdul changes out of her Valentino gown in the car, while making a mad dash to catch a red eye, and nearly misses the flight. But the day's not over and there's no time to rest for an exhausted Abdul. Landing in Philly, she heads over to QVC to see her jewelry designs, only to find they're not what she envisioned. If it's not up to par, Abdul's not putting her name behind it. With just a few hours before the live QVC show, she voices her concerns. Will the changes to Abdul's jewelry line be made in time? Just an average day in the life of Paula Abdul.
Episode 2
Abdul's off to NYC in the second installment of "Hey Paula" for a jam-packed week filled with events, meetings and press. Abdul and her publicist Jeff begin the trip at the annual dinner for the Young Menswear Association Fashion Scholarship Fund for Parson School of Design, where she's presented with the Fashion Icon Award by Tim Gunn - a true honor, since Abdul's graced the worst dressed list more than once. But by the time she gets to her hotel, it's 4am. With just two hours of sleep, Abdul attempts to grab some shuteye after a meeting with her perfume manufacturers, but ends up losing a battle with insomnia, and continues to miss night after night of sleep. A full week of meetings later, with no zzz's, combined with catching the flu, Abdul must get through a series of satellite interviews to promote "American Idol." And this is when she makes headlines once again.
Episode 3
Calling an emergency meeting with her staff, Paula discusses the press coming after her, the lies being printed and how she needs help. Jeff, her publicist, comes up with a plan to tackle the sea of bad press that has resulted from the satellite interviews. In need of some fun, Paula takes her hairstylist and BFF Daniel to a gifting suite where free stuff equals a good time. Later, Jeff accompanies Paula to Vegas where she is getting a Woman of the Year award from the Nevada Ballet. For the first time since the satellite interview fallout, she will have to deal with press.
Episode 4
Paula is hosting the IDA charity event benefiting animal victims of Katrina, but due to "American Idol" duties, she is running hours late, and the show has to start without her. Back at home, Paula meets with her staff to prepare for the next QVC trip and a Letterman appearance which she's nervous about. The trip requires her to fly on a red-eye and then get straight to work for a 6am show. Arriving in Philly, an exhausted Paula interacts with fans, does three QVC shows and an online chat, but a major snowstorm forces her to stay in Philly another night. And she is not happy with the treatment QVC is giving her. Will Paula miss her Letterman appearance?
Episode 5
Paula is due to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman in New York, but she's still stuck in Philadelphia, snowed in by a blizzard after her latest QVC appearance there. She decompresses from all the stress by pulling a prank on her assistants, then goes shopping. She finally makes it to New York with little time to spare and the possibility of not having a hairstylist to help her look her best for her big interview. Can Paula make it on the air on time?
Episode 6
Paula plans to rent a house while her home is being remodeled and asks her best friend/hairstylist Daniel to help her decorate. Daniel tours the rental house with Deb the interior designer to determine decor. Daniel and Deb make decorative executive decisions, and move in new furniture the very next week. But when Paula arrives to look at the house, she hates it and calls Deb to complain. After reconsidering, Paula decides to hold off on remodeling her house, and lets go of the newly decorated rental house.
Episode 7
Paula auditions dancers for a new project. Then we see how she deals with her chronic pain problems in her daily life - a problem that gets worse after she trips over one of her beloved dogs and damages the cartilage in her nose. We meet her acupuncturist while she does an interview with Billy Bush of Access Hollywood. Later, Paula meets with producer Peter Lord, whom she hasn't worked with for over ten years, to discuss her getting back in the music game. Paula's boyfriend throws her a birthday party and surprises her with her dad and other family members.
