Five neighboring families will compete in HGTV's $250,000 Challenge, a winner-takes-all design competition in which one lucky family will win the life-changing cash prize that could help them pay off their mortgage. In each episode the host will reveal a home improvement challenge where teams will compete to create the best design in their own home. With help from HGTV's expert talent, each family will strive not only to win the cash grand prize and the praise of the design judges, but also for the chance to walk away with up to four redesigned spaces in their home.
