Dueling Kitchen The designers divide into two teams to complete a 26-hour kitchen renovation with a $20,000 budget. Ready For Your Close Up? The designers prepare a 10 x 10 room on a soundstage using items purchased from just one store. Think Inside The Box The contestants convert messy garages into living spaces on a 22-hour deadline. Homes of the Brave The contestants travel to a military base to make over two drab rooms for families living there. Kid Clients The players create designs for kids. Elsewhere, David Bromstad offers advice to the contestants, and the designers take their first crack at on-camera hosting. The Longest Yard The Final 4 work as a team to renovate a 10,000-square-foot yard. As personalities clash, budget problems also arise. Celebrity Homes The three remaining contestants design rooms for celebrities, including an office for Kathy Griffin, a guest room for Tiffani Thiessen and a nursery for Jason Priestley. The Final Challenge The final two contestants make over an entire home for a deserving family before the winner is named. HGTV Design Star IV Winner Special The winner of "HGTV's Design Star" Season 4 remodels his own home.
