A Stitch In Time
When Andrew and Melissa had a little girl, they needed to buy a house with more space in a family friendly neighborhood ? they did not expect more problems. They had a home inspection before they bought the house, but the inspector missed signs of obvious neglect that could lead directly to much bigger issues. Mike gives this house a proper Holmes Inspection, and with the help of his crew, they will set this family on the right path.
Terminated
Gail and Kevin were thrilled to find a house they could afford just minutes from their daughter's school. The house was beautifully renovated so they were excited when they got it - competing against multiple offers. Mike Holmes shows them the signs of termite damage that are clearly visible, despite the newly renovated basement. Damon and the crew are on hand to repair the damage, after the pros have ensured the pests have been terminated.
Exhausting The Issue
Rick and Deirdre flipped when they first saw their home with a gorgeous open concept renovation and a stunning stone fireplace. Unfortunately, the home inspector did not read the signs that this house was probably a flip, filled with shoddy, quickly done work- but Mike Holmes did. Mike will do his own Holmes Inspection to assess all the work it will take to make this one right.
Soaked
Shannon is a savvy first-time home buyer who knew enough to get a home inspection before she bought the home. However, the question is did the home inspector know enough? Is that stain from an old plumbing leak or is it a disaster waiting to happen? Is that electrical wiring in the basement dangerous? Mike will do a proper Holmes Inspection, and the crew tackles this townhouse and make it tight.
Holding It In
The house Kris and Dave bought had a finished basement, ideal for their active boys. When Dave found mold on some toys, he tore open the dry wall in the closet, only to discover a cold room that should never have been closed in. Their home inspector missed this very real threat to the family's health and safety. Now they need a Holmes Inspection and help from Mike and his crew to make it right.
A Heated Issue
Todd and Duane were excited about buying their first house together and tackled their home inspector's suggestions with enthusiasm before working on the decor. And it did look fabulous once they got their hands on it. But, then they discovered something that could ruin everything. Mike comes in and gives their house a Holmes Inspection, and his crew pitches in to make it right.
A Hole Lot Of History, Part 1
Fred and Sara loved this diminutive, two-storey historical house in a trendy downtown neighborhood and were pleased when the home inspector found no major issues. When things started to go wrong, they asked Mike Holmes for a second opinion. His Holmes Inspection unearthed a few disastrous holes in the home inspector's story. When Mike and his crew get started, things go horribly wrong.
A Hole Lot Of History, Part 2
Fred and Sara have been out of their beloved historical home for weeks while Damon and the crew follow-up on all the things Mike Holmes found that their home inspector missed. Water coming in, mold, holes in the foundation, dangerous fireplaces, scary electrical and one final plumbing disaster ? Damon and the crew work hard to make this one right.
Go With The Flow
Cathy and Tim thought a house with two fireplaces would be very romantic. The home inspector thought everything would be okay once the fireplaces were cleaned. Mike Holmes tells them that the inspector missed something much more important. It will take a proper Holmes Inspection and a lot of work from Mike's crew to ensure this family will be safe.
No More Down And Out
Keith and Caitlin tried not to be dazzled by a renovated kitchen and made sure they got a home inspection before they bought. But, it was a satellite dish installer who found they had a rotten roof, not the home inspector. What else did he miss? They called Mike in for a Holmes Inspection to really get to the bottom of things.
Watch Your Step
Ryan and Eunice spent years in a tiny condo saving for their dream house in the suburbs. The home inspector was very reassuring and they maxed out their mortgage to buy the house. Now they've got more house than furniture, and a lot more problems than they ever expected. Mike does a Holmes Inspection, and he, Damon and the crew make it right.
Troubled Waters
Kim and Daniel bought a house so that their two little girls could grow up in a safe family home. They really tried to follow the advice of their home inspector, but problems were missed and things went from bad to worse. Now they need a Holmes Inspection, and for Mike and the crew to make it right.
