It's Job Security
Meet the elite members of the Essex/Union Auto Theft Task Force. This specialized police unit in Northern New Jersey patrols the streets at night in their tricked-out SUV's, tracking down and immobilizing stolen cars, and deploying a high tech decoy car to catch unsuspecting thieves. The team's helicopter spots a stolen car speeding through the city streets - and we see just how dangerous stolen vehicles can be.
I Was Gonna Go Home
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) is back out on patrol in Newark, NJ. "The Wolf Pack" as the team is known, trails a stolen vehicle and blocks it in - capturing a wanted gang member in the process. A few days later their Lojack tracking signals go off, alerting them to a stolen vehicle in the area. The car, taken at gunpoint and knifepoint, was stolen only hours earlier. They follow the signal to see if it leads them to the perpetrator.
They're Hitting The Highway
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) is faced with scenarios beyond the usual drill. After following a stolen vehicle from a distance, the unit finds it abandoned, rolling backward down the street, and the hunt is on for the driver. Later, the helicopter tracks a car thief on the highway as he leads the task force miles outside of Newark in one of their longest pursuits ever.
Saturday Night
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) mans their heavy-metal SUV's while they search for stolen cars in and around Newark, New Jersey. A deliveryman has his car stolen at gunpoint, and the unit uses their high tech decoy vehicle to capture a pair of unsuspecting car thieves. The real action takes place when the unit changes their schedule and catches the auto thieves off guard.
Devil On One Shoulder
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) mans their heavy-metal SUV's while they search for stolen cars in and around Newark, New Jersey. The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) rolls out in a rainstorm only to find the streets of Newark as active as ever. While tracking a stolen car down an alleyway, an unexpected surprise forces the entire unit to scramble in pursuit. A few days later, a second thief seen "driving crazy" through the city puts the unit's wet-weather skills to the test.
Nothing Good Happens After Midnight
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) shows that stolen cars are not their one and only priority. They often get pulled into different types of police investigations. After first taking down a pair of individuals suspected of committing armed robberies, they later find themselves in an early morning manhunt for an armed gunman.
It's The Brick Bandit!
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) is in pursuit of "The Brick Bandit", a perp who leaves bricks in the cars he steals. Little do they know how personally involved they're going to get when they finally apprehend him. Plus a relaxed night gets tense fast when an officer has to take down a suspect by himself when backup is too far away to help.
Fastest Feet In The Fleet
It's the busiest night ever for the Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.). The jobs are coming left and right. Unoccupied stolen vehicles, smart-talking perps, foot chases, and stakeouts - this night has it all. The unit even takes a break to decide once and for all who's the fastest man in the unit
These Are The Streets
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) follows a stolen jeep. Three individuals are captured and a gun is recovered. Later, the word's on the street about the decoy vehicle so the unit makes some changes. Plus, it's a dark night while the Union County Prosecutor rides along and the unit responds to the scene of a shooting.
Let The Helicopter Take Him
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) puts the helicopter back up in the air. The eye in the sky comes in handy as the unit tracks down a wanted drug dealer driving in the area. Later the unit's Lojack tracking device takes the officers on a hunt. This time, however, it's not car they're after - it's a stolen motorcycle that's easier to hide.
I Just Wanted My Burger
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) is on the prowl in Newark, New Jersey--and they've got plenty to keep them busy. First they get in their cardio workout when a perp takes off running. Later they recover a stolen tractor trailer. And finally a successful block ends with a stolen vehicle taken down at a drive-thru window.
Bail Out, Bail Out
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) has a dangerous bail out that puts an officer in a foot chase across a five-lane highway with lots of fast moving traffic. Later one shady individual learns smoking is more than just bad for his health when the unit uses his cigarettes to finger him for auto theft.
I Don't Think I Can Make It In Jail
The Auto Theft Task Force (A.T.T.F.) gets a new piece of equipment, a computerized License Plate Reader. They take it out for its first spin and find it to be extremely helpful. Later while on a fairly straightforward job, the Newark police come flying towards the unit, chasing a armed robbery vehicle. The A.T.T.F. gets involved using some metal to metal and a lot of adrenaline to help capture the gunmen.
