JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment premiered on WB on January 13, 2002. A weekly half-hour comedy series hosted by charismatic film star and stand-up comic Jamie Kennedy, JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment irreverently pushes the sketch comedy and practical joke formats to new extremes. Off-the-wall humor and Kennedy's disarming personality, versatility and comedic acting skills combine to make this unique new series a sly combination of on-the-street sneak attacks and elaborate practical jokes. In addition to hosting the show in front of a studio audience, Kennedy can be seen - but maybe not recognized in his disguises - in nearly every prank, playing a variety of character roles from a guy who hires people to be his friend on his birthday to a lifeguard who can't actually swim. Prosthetics will often take Jamie's physical transformation one step further, as he creates a wide range of recurring characters including one that is a member of the opposite sex. Each episode poses an important social question, thus the "experiment," such as "Just how much will a guy look past in order to have sex with a beautiful woman?" A lot, apparently, as viewers will see in a future episode as Kennedy busts people in the moment of truth.
