And in Austin, Texas, John Morgan took over the barn-like garage in the back of his home and turned it into his very own bar.
Drunken Monkey Lava Lounge
Dave Hart outfits his 2,000 square foot basement with a home theater, a bar, a gaming area and a dungeon themed wine cellar. Then, tiki freak Gary Spinrad turns his entire basement into a lounge with flashing lights, palm fronds and karaoke stage. And, Lamberto Alvarez jams on his guitar and creates paintings from hydrochloric acid in his garage studio.

The CEO of a Georgia trucking company takes over the space above his garage where he creates a tribute to the Georgia Bulldogs, complete with a bar and poker table. Then, a Sacramento man proves that, when a man doesn't have his own space, he starts climbing the walls. And in the middle of the desert, a devoted Parrothead creates a tropical backyard oasis that would be the envy of any Jimmy Buffett fan.

In Maryland, Michael Michalik hangs pieces of an old football stadium on the wall, while Lynn Park houses 19 cars, a gameroom and memorabilia in California. Then, Jeff Smith showcases more than 10,000 trinkets, doo-dads and what-nots in his basement lounge, bar and burgeoning museum.
Seabiscuit Barn
In Ohio, one man has turned his basement into the ultimate lounge, gameroom and slot car racetrack. Then, in Chino Hills, California, Richard King keeps up with all the games on three plasma TV's in his sports sanctum. Finally, Skip Newell restores the actual barn that once housed the famous racehorse Seabiscuit, including a pool table and a stage for his band.

Jeff Johnson played football in college, but now he watches the game from his hand-crafted pub in the basement of his Portland, Maine home. Meanwhile in Woodstock, Georgia, when Wes Wilson's favorite bar, The Blue Pig, closed, he installed its old sign and built a stage where his band can jam in his home's lower level. And in Los Angeles, California, Brad Hanratty's wife turned their backyard over to him and now encounters pirates, skeletons and animals in its jungle-like setting.

In Texas, Scott Rider has practically built a second house behind his family's home and finished the interior with weathered cedar and corrugated metal. Then in Northern California, Tim Marchi has a four-zone Man Land with a putting green, a basketball court, a game room and one of the most technologically advanced home theaters that money can buy. And Boston's Adam Shamus has transformed an unfinished attic into the perfect spot for his friends to watch sports and shoot some pool.

Finally, when Donnie Knutson and his friends in Austin, Texas have a bowling night, they have it in Donnie's backyard, under the watchful eyes of a grass octopus.

In Danbury, Connecticut, homeowner James Taylor's classy man room even has its own name, Manlandia. Then, in Beverly Hills, Stanley Gold is a Porsche fanatic who has a fabulously luxurious car palace and lounge. Finally, in Sherman Oaks, California, DJ Chris Carter has converted his garage into a groovy storehouse for his rock and roll collectibles.

In Chicago, former professional football player Mike McCurry took a dilapidated tool shed and turned it into his own man room with a big screen TV and cigar-smoked leather furniture. Then in Roswell, Georgia, Dave Pardue's basement is a very convincing-looking cave and includes a recording studio and media room. Finally, in Redondo Beach, California, retired fire chief Pat Aust escapes from his wife's extensive doll collection in his very own firehouse, complete with firefighting antiques from around the world.

Don Bellows of Hoover, Alabama was inspired by his love of cigars to turn his basement into a cigar lounge with true Southern charm. Then, in Cameron Park, California, pilot Chuck Wahl not only lives on an airstrip, but he's built an airplane hangar attached to his house. In Stamford, Connecticut, Gary Dortona transformed his den into an elegant pool hall saturated in color, while in Grafton, Ohio, Dennis Bratkovich turned old shipping crates and assorted hardware store items into an ingenious basement bar and game room. Finally, David Frasier has a four-wheeling, dirt-loving, off-roader's paradise in his Arizona backyard.

Bill Krecji's passion for a Chicago themed sports bar inspired his basement shrine to all the things he loves: sports, pool, darts and, of course, beer. Meanwhile, in Newbury Park, California, it's all things Irish in Tom O'Gorman's creatively converted garage pub, and Johnny Ferrell is all aces in his posh custom-built poker palace in Riverview, Florida.
