Moolah Beach premiered on Fox Kids on September 8, 2001. Twelve contestants have been divided into six teams of two. There are two missions per show. The first is the Makahiki Mission. The team that wins this mission must choose two of the 13 idols. The more idols a team wins, the better their chances of getting their hands on the idol containing the moolah. The second mission is the Kahuna Mission, where contestants battle for the right to stay on "Moolah Beach." The team that comes in first place increases their odds of getting to stay. The team that comes in last place has a greater chance of hearing JD say "aloha," only this time it won't mean "hello!" There are 13 idols, each representing a different aspect of Hawaiian life. Contestants win idols by winning missions. 12 of them are empty, but one contains $25,000! In the end, one lucky team will win the moolah.
