Wanda Ortiz
Everyone who knows her knows how much Wanda Ortiz loves Miami, but since she can't bring her friends and family to South Beach for her wedding, Wanda has decided to bring South Beach to New Jersey. That's Theme of her wedding - "South Beach" - and Wanda thinks she's done a terrific job with the colors and decor. Among her choices: bright purple and neon green bridesmaid dresses, martini glass centerpieces, and glowing plastic ice cubes in all of her guest's drinks. What Wanda doesn't count on is David Tutera throwing out all of her ideas so he can instead throw her the kind of chic and tasteful South Beach wedding she never could have imagined. He starts by replacing the bridesmaids' dresses with stylish designer gowns from JLM. To heat things up, David arranges for Wanda and her fiance, Bert, to have salsa dance lessons with two of the world's top Latin dance champions. Later, David meets Wanda for drinks at Manhattan's exclusive Hotel Gansevoort where, in addition to sampling the specialty martini David has planned for her reception, Wanda learns the importance of properly toasting her guests. And on the day of her wedding, Wanda discovers that David has transformed her reception venue - a hotel ballroom in New Jersey - into a beautiful, hip, South Beach-style "club" rivaling the hottest nightspots on Ocean Drive.
Jennifer Coppola
Jennifer Coppola always dreamed of being a princess on her wedding day, but her vision of "royalty" isn't exactly the same as David Tutera's. So, with less than three weeks before Jennifer says "I do" to her fiance, Marcello, David begins a dramatic transformation of their wedding - and of Jennifer herself. Gone are her Pepto-Bismol colored, Little Bo Peep-style bridesmaid's dresses... her fake flower centerpieces... the exploding balloon columns... and Jennifer's mile-wide, too-much-tulle-infused wedding gown. In their place, David arranges for Jennifer and her bridesmaids to wear awe-inspiring designer gowns from the exclusive Disney Bridal salon. He takes Jennifer to Cipriani's on 42nd Street in Manhattan, one of the city's most luxurious restaurants, where he gives her a five-course lesson in table etiquette. Later, he accompanies her to the Cutler Salon in SoHo where a "glam squad" gives Jennifer a complete makeover. But David saves the biggest surprise and transformation for last. On their wedding day, Jennifer and Marcello are taken not to their original venue but to the Hempstead House, a castle on the shores of Long Island, where Jennifer's dream of becoming a true princess becomes a reality.Mandy Ferrer
David Tutera has worked with hundreds of brides over the years, but none of them quite like Mandy Ferrer. Mandy's a bleach-blonde, tattoo-covered, Marilyn Monroe impersonator from Mount Ephraim, New Jersey, whose wedding to her fiance, Mike, promises to be nothing if not unique. A potluck reception for 200 guests... paper plates shaped like vinyl records... a cupcake wedding cake with plastic spiders crawling over the top. It's enough to make David's skin crawl. So with only a few weeks to go before the wedding, David and his team set out to turn this Marilyn wanna-be into a glamorous starlet - and transform her wedding into a scene right out of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." First up: a lavish new pink and diamond-studded cake design by Sugar Couture. Next, David replaces Mandy's reception dress and her bridesmaid's dresses with gorgeous new red-carpet inspired gowns by designer Faviana and arranges for Mandy to have her own private photo shoot modeling one of the dresses. He also has her train with a top Broadway singing coach so she can serenade Mike at the reception. But David's biggest surprise is the reception itself... no longer at the wedding hall in Jersey where Mandy had planned, but rather in the grand ballroom of one of Philadelphia's most spectacular hotels. It's an unforgettable night for an unforgettable bride!
Seria Powell
Seria Powell is a bride on a budget who has purchased nearly everything for her wedding online - and it's all turquoise. Her bridesmaids' dresses are turquoise, her plastic flowers are turquoise... even the "booty panties" she plans on wearing during her honeymoon are turquoise. So, quicker than Seria and her future husband Raheim can say "I do," David Tutera rushes in and quickly transforms their somewhat uninspired, one-note wedding into an elegant and memorable affair where the color turquoise is still part of the decor - it just isn't the whole decor. The plastic flowers... gone! The bridesmaid dresses... replaced with beautiful new gowns by famed designer Jenny Yoo. David even throws out the turquoise booty panties and takes Seria shopping at La Petite Coquette, one of New York's finest lingerie boutiques. But perhaps the most amazing transformation is Seria herself. Beginning with high tea at the Plaza Hotel - and only days before her wedding - David turns this simple Brooklyn girl into a regal and sophisticated bride right out of Vogue.Amanda Becvar
A "jeans and T-shirt kind of gal" who loves watching NASCAR, Amanda Becvar holds strong to her Irish roots and wants her wedding day to reflect that. Vivid green bridesmaid dresses... shamrocks everywhere... a pub with reception tables named after Irish whiskeys. The only thing missing is a leprechaun ring bearer. But David Tutera has a different vision in mind, and a somewhat daunting task: how does he turn this St. Patty's Day happy hour into a stately and elegant event? And how does he transform a Long Island tomboy into an enchanting Irish maiden? With less than two weeks before her wedding, Amanda suddenly finds herself on a horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park where David introduces her to some Irish customs to bring her luck. He later escorts her to the luxurious Waterford Crystal showroom on Madison Avenue to pick out gifts for her bridal party and to provide her with an astonishing gift of his own. But Amanda's best surprise awaits her at the Maximus Salon where David treats her to a complete makeover. By the time she walks down the aisle, Amanda is every bit the beautiful Irish maiden David envisioned... and her wedding - complete with bagpipers, spectacular floral displays and a cake topped with a specially designed family crest - couldn't be more memorable if it took place on the Emerald Isle.
Bayyina Joseph
By David Tutera's standards, Bayyina Joseph's idea of a "majestic" wedding falls a tad bit short. A wedding dress inspired by Madonna's "Like a Virgin" video? A reception hall that looks like a '70s roller-skating rink? A hair-do that's the very definition of "hair-don't? So with only a few short weeks before Bayyina's wedding, David decides to literally make her a queen for the day... in this case, Marie Antoinette. For her own royal court, David outfits her bridal party in Versaille-inspired gowns from Creative Costumes. Also befitting a queen is the queen of etiquette, Peggy Post (daughter of Emily Post) who instructs Bayyina on the proper way to greet her guests. Later, Classic Party Rentals provides Bayyina with a demonstration of awe-inspiring table settings fit for a palace. But David's biggest surprise? Instead of using Bayyina's reception hall, he arranges to have the entire wedding moved to Long Island's luxurious Garden City Hotel, where the grand ballroom is transformed into an opulent 14th century royal chamber dripping in gold. For the most important day of her life, Bayyina is every bit the queen. And her guests? Just let them eat cake.
