Caroline Martino
Brooklyn bride Caroline Martino loves crystals and she wants a wedding dripping with them. The problem David Tutera finds when he meets her is that nothing she has for her wedding sparkles as much as it should. From the lopsided centerpiece to her oversized wedding dress David believes could be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, to a reception hall so bad, she won't even show it to David. It's all has to go! The two create a theme - Diamond White Wedding - and the transformation begins. First Caroline is told her bridesmaids will get new, full-length dresses. Then it's time to replace Caroline's beloved wedding dress with a crystal laced form fitting gown that has her crying tears of joy. Next, our bride learns the importance and the difference between escort cards and place cards. That's not all; it's designer shoes that sparkle for both the bride and all of the bridesmaids, but will they keep them on for the entire reception? And just days before the wedding, David blings her out with diamonds befitting a diamond white wedding and the final surprise is that her venue is going to be at the Palace at Somerset Park. Will David create the sparkling wedding for this diamond in the rough?
Nicole O'Hara
Her wedding is just three weeks away and David Tutera's bride Nicole O'Hara is all over the map when it comes to wedding planning. She loves the color purple, which is apparent in her wedding decor including her bridesmaid's dresses. She's obsessed with custom monograms, and internet surfs for trinkets from cocktail napkins to candle votives. And her venue? David did a wedding at the Glen Terrace and he wasn't about to do that again. It's David Tutera to the rescue as he changes her theme closer to her Jamaican heritage. First, a trip to RK Bridal to change out Nicole's safe and traditional gown into something that fits her outgoing personality. But David wants more for his bride, so the two shop Alyce Designs where David finds the perfect party dress for her reception. At M&J Trimmings, the bridesmaids are dolled up in their purple dresses, but David adds more pizzazz by blinging out with trimmings. Later, it's an exciting trip to Ciao Bella to create a custom flavored ice cream that will become the signature dessert at the reception. And speaking of receptions, David announces to Nicole that he's not going back to the Glen Terrace, instead her wedding reception will be held at Xchange, an ultra hip loft with the best views of New York City. But before the wedding festivities begin, David has one more stop for his bride. He takes Nicole to CECINY to learn a thing or two about monogram thank you notes for her guests. When her wedding day finally arrives, Nicole is a Jamaican princess enjoying dancing to a reggae band supplied by none other than David Tutera!
Quiana Morgan
When David Tutera met Quiana Morgan for the first time, he found out that she wanted a "winter wonderland themed" wedding... in spring! And there's more! Her bouquets and her wedding cake are coming from the local grocery store. And her wedding dress is a floor sample complete with stains and tears that made the linens from her unsuitable reception hall look clean. So with only three weeks until her big day, David decides to change not only the season, but everything else! It's out with the turquoise dresses the bridesmaids hate and in with unique designs catered to each girl. The floor sample dress no more...replaced by a stunning and blinged-out gown. No grocery store shopping for this wedding as David shows his bride how special flowers make for breathtaking bouquets, and how cake tasting can be informative, and fun! It's not over yet, as David teaches Quianna about the etiquette of wedding linens. Then David unleashes the biggest surprise of the day, when he tells Quiana that her reception venue is going to change. Will David be able to warm up our winter wonderland bride with a reception during the right season?
Kristi Kszepka
Kristi Kszepka is a bride from New Egypt, New Jersey that everyone in town fondly refers to as Kricket. Her wedding is based around a favorite wine of hers... a pink merlot. David Tutera meets his bride three weeks before the big day, and he finds that Kricket has collected all sorts of unique items to display on her wedding day that don't really tie into her theme and most of it is fake - the flowers, the leaves and even the grapes... the four letter word David hates the most - "F-A-K-E!" First up, changing out her bridesmaids' unflattering pink-themed dresses for a more elegant, form fitting design. Kricket is brought to tears with a surprise from David Tutera - her mother shows up to share in the experience of getting a brand new breath-taking gown. And the good fortune doesn't end there. David arranges a delicious treat for the two, a lesson in pairing wine and chocolate followed by a complete makeover. And finally the moment Kricket has been waiting for, David has transformed her reception hall at the Radisson Hotel into the vineyards of Italy. It's truly an Italian masterpiece.
Dayira Muniz
It's just three weeks from her wedding day and Dayira Muniz is about to show David Tutera just how sweet she wants her wedding. It takes a lot to shock this wedding planner, but David is shocked to find that most of her accessories are made of candy. Yes, she wants edible decor at a wedding! Her bouquet is made of lollypops, the centerpieces are candy, and even her archway is made of red licorice! And the venue? David believes it would have been more ideal to have his high school prom there than Dayira's reception. But David will not lose the spirit and color of this wedding as he ditches Dayira's traditional wedding dress for a sophisticated and sexy wedding dress from Gabriella. He takes his bride to Cake Alchemy where Dayira gets a true understanding of the latest wild and colorful trends in wedding cakes. The next outing for the pair, an afternoon tasting desserts prepared by a pastry chef whose goal is to teach them how desserts can be fun, but also elegant and sophisticated enough for a wedding. The sweetness doesn't end there! David informs Dayira that her whole wedding, ceremony, cocktails and reception - are all being moved to the W Hotel Union Square! By the end of her wedding night, this will be the most colorful, festive candy-inspired day of her life!
Lauren Masterson
David Tutera thought he had heard and seen it all, until he met bride Lauren Masterson three weeks before her wedding day. Young and beautiful, she's the last bride David would have thought to be having a medieval-themed wedding! Upon his arrival, David finds out she was proposed to by her fiance in full medieval body armor thus setting the theme, complete with a burning cauldron, shields, swords and crowns to wear. After a fashion show of the dresses, it's out with the electric blue bridesmaids' dresses, but David is enchanted with Lauren's dress, so she'll get to keep it... at least for the ceremony. David finds a stylish replacement for the bridesmaids' dresses and then treats Lauren to a gorgeous variety of reception dresses. Faviana is providing the bride's "change-out" dress for the reception. Then it's off to Central Park, where David has arranged for photographer to take photos of Lauren and her fiance, Christopher, in front of a castle! Next, Lauren hadn't even thought about centerpieces and her fiance sells flowers wholesale! David partners with Lauren's family friend to design fabulous centerpieces worthy of a princess. In the end, David has kept Lauren's reception at the original venue, however, his overhaul on the space creates an enchanted forest complete with fireworks for his bride and guests!
Jamie Ferris
A "Mummer Parade" is a colorful, costumed celebration that happens in Philadelphia every New Year's Day. For bride Jamie Ferris, she has taken this concept for the theme of her wedding! It's only three weeks before Jamie's big day and this is the first time David Tutera has even heard about a "Mummer Parade"! Once David wraps his head around the whole idea that Jamie really wants all the fanfare, and feathers, it's out with her bouquets and centerpieces, and even the fire hall attached to the firehouse that Jamie's planning for her reception. David allows Jamie to keep her beautiful dress for ceremony, but he's quick to find her and her bridesmaids' festive and exciting reception dresses to dance the night away. Every bride should have a chance to loosen up before her wedding day, so it's a field trip to the Audrey Lounge where Jamie and David sip colorful, exotic drinks - one will end up as her signature cocktail. With time running out before she says, "I do," the two go for a formal food tasting, and then David surprises Jamie by announcing he has moved her reception to an awe inspiring location. And, of course, no colorful feathers and fun "Mummer" wedding reception would be complete without a live performance from; you guessed it, a band of Mummers!
Bernadette Davis
If there's one color that makes David Tutera's skin crawl, it's green. Unfortunately for David, his latest bride, Bernadette Davis, has her wedding infused with the colors Kiwi and cream for fashion, floral and decor. Plus, her reception venue is too small for her needs. So with only three weeks before the wedding, all of it has to go in order to transform his bride into the African Queen she desires to be. Working off just a picture of the bride's frumpy dress was enough for David to bring Bernadette to Bridal Reflections and place her in a gown that has her glowing. Also, at Bridal Reflections, the bridesmaids' gowns change and are given an African touch with tribal wraps supplied by Weavers. Time for a makeover, as Bernadette spends the day before her wedding at Mark Garrison salon receiving a pampering that not only helps her as a bride, but a woman as well, topped off with a new hairstyle and beautiful African headpiece. And no makeover would be complete without David announcing to his bride her reception will be moved from a venue that won't work to the Pearl S. Buck Estate blown out like an African safari ideal for his African Queen.
Christina Velez
Christina Velez had her dream wedding planned - a destination getaway with her closest family and friends watching her and her fiance Ed Rangel exchanging vows on a beach in Mexico. Then the "swine flu" hit and all of her plans quickly changed. Since none of her guests would travel to Mexico, Christina had to create a tropical vibe in her hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Instead of a beach, partygoers will be treated to a reception at the dated Elks Lodge... which Christina has to clean after her wedding. Her wedding dress is ideal for dancing, but not formal enough for a wedding. When David realizes she has balloon centerpieces and umbrella favors with her original wedding date still on them, he knows he has just three weeks to bring a magnificent beach wedding to New Jersey. But first, he's going to makeover everything starting with the boring bridesmaid dresses and gives the bridal party sexy, stylish dresses. Then David whisks his bride off to the chic Mexican restaurant where they sample high end guacamole, churros and sangria... one of which will be featured at her wedding. And then it's time for the biggest surprise of all - David unveils for the first time ever, dresses from his very own line of spectacular gowns and an ecstatic Christina learns she will be his first bride ever to wear his dress when she walks down the aisle. It will be a beach wedding after all, as David has arranged for Christina to get married on the beach at the Vanderbilt at South Beach in Staten Island. And on her wedding night, Christina and partygoers are wowed when the sky above is filled with fireworks designed to make the newlyweds feel like the have indeed made it to Mexico.
Noelle Kane
Soon to be bride, Noelle Kane, wants to combine the simple comforts of the South, with the excitement of a big city for her wedding - all with the help of a glue gun! Bedazzled pigs, fake flowers with rhinestones, even the bridesmaids dresses have headband accents thanks to a glue gun! When David Tutera meets Noelle for the first time, and sees her decor, he's not quite sure how to respond! And it gets worse - Noelle models her stained wedding dress that she bought at a yard sale that's four sizes too small! Once David walks into the couple's backyard that will double as their reception space, he's seen enough. With just three weeks to work his magic, David replaces the garage sale gown with a drop-dead gorgeous designer dress and puts his spin on the tradition of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" by adding Noelle's mom's wedding dress to her boutique, surprising her with new shoes, eye popping jewelry and a decorative blue hair piece. If that wasn't enough, David and Noelle put her glue gun to good use, creating a signature tablecloth. For a finale, David informs his bride that her wedding won't be in her backyard, he's bringing the South to New York City and will transform the Women's Club of Glen Ridge into Noelle's Southern paradise.
Corryn Conyer
Ever since she saw the movie, "Sabrina," Harlem bride Corryn Conyer has envisioned looking like Audrey Hepburn on her wedding day. When David Tutera met Corryn just three weeks before she walked down the aisle, he realized her wedding was far from having a Hollywood ending. Her bridal gown lacked sophistication and grace, but that was nothing compared to her bouquets made of sponges! Then when Corryn brought out the Styrofoam wedding cake, David sprung into action. His first stop is to give the bridal party fabulous retro bridesmaid dresses, and then a show stopping wedding gown for Corryn that would make even Audrey Hepburn jealous. Next, David surprises his bride by replacing her fake engagement ring with a spectacular diamond ring. And when Corryn thought David couldn't do anymore for her, he announces that her wedding will be moved to Twenty Four Fifth, a ballroom in what used to be the Fifth Hotel in New York City. Not only does the venue have the elegance of another era, but also for a "My Fair Wedding" first, David creates a beautiful ceremony space, then flips the same room to construct a glorious reception area that feels like a movie set in the 1950s.
Varneka Edwards
Living in Bear, Delaware is nothing like living in New York City, but that hasn't stopped David Tutera's latest bride, Varneka Edwards, from trying to bring the Big Apple to town on her wedding day. Add to that is Varneka's obsession with the color gold. When David finally sits down with his bride, he doesn't know where to begin... she has gold centerpieces, gold table clothes, even gold nuggets that she doesn't know what to do with... and, of course, one of her bridesmaid's dresses has gold in it. It's time for David to start the much needed changes. Varneka's wedding dress is ideal for the ceremony, but David's bringing New York to Delaware so he really steps it up with a staggering reception dress from his David Tutera by Faviana line. And there's more... the day of the wedding; he's planning on surprising Varneka with a change out dress for a lounge party he'll create. Then David and Varneka sample tasty Korbel Champagne based cocktails ideal for toasting on her wedding night. And what bride wouldn't want to go to a spa and relax before her wedding? That's exactly what David and Varneka do complete with a 24k facial. And the wedding plan wouldn't be complete without sampling a gold covered $25,000 ice cream sundae at Serendipity. Once the wedding day arrives, David composes three unique spaces from the master ballroom - a serene white ceremony space, an elegant dining reception area complete with gold tablecloths, and the NYC gold lounge showcasing gold painted dancers. Without a doubt, David has created memories of Varneka's wedding day that she will carry well into her golden years.
