Sweet 'N All Jackie and her husband, Kevin, become concerned that their older daughter Grace is suffering from anxiety disorder; hospital administrator Mrs. Akalitus drinks Jackie's Percoset-laced coffee. Chicken Soup An elderly patient checks in who has been treating his heart disease with chicken soup; Jackie discusses her daughter's anxiety with Dr. O'Hara; Eddie learns that he is to be replaced by a pill-dispensing machine. School Nurse Jackie and Kevin consider enrolling Grace in private school; the stoic Dr. O'Hara must endure the emotional thanks of a boy whose twin brother she saved; Zoey loses a patient for the first time. Daffodil Jackie breaks several rules and regulations to help a 10-year-old girl caring for her lupus-stricken mother; Mrs. Akalitus accidentally tasers herself; O'Hara treats Zoey to a meal at a four-star restaurant. Tiny Bubbles A fellow nurse and old friend of Jackie's checks into the hospital with terminal lung cancer, and asks Jackie to help end her life; Dr. Cooper's mother is admitted with a gall bladder attack and reveals a family secret about her son's upbringing. Steak Knife A man is admitted to the ER with a steak knife in his chest, after an attack by the ex-husband of a woman he was dating for the first time; Mrs. Akalitus takes charge of a foundling abandoned at the nurses' station; O'Hara has a personal crisis. Pupil Jackie discovers that a new temp nurse is abusing drugs, but when she confronts him, he calls her on hypocrisy; Mrs. Akalitus still has the foundling infant left at the hospital; Coop reveals to Eddie that Jackie has a child. Pupil When one of Jackie's patients returns with more severe symptoms, Zoey second-guesses Jackie's initial treatment; Jackie's continued drug use begins to have a physical impact on her health, and she's disappointed that Dr. O'Hara has betrayed a confidence. Later, an impatient Jackie oversteps her bounds and signs off on an organ-donation certificate for an accident victim who's been rendered brain-dead. Pupil With Coop threatening to expose Jackie for falsifying an organ donor's file, she takes drastic measures to keep abreast of his plans; Jackie asks for Dr. O'Hara's help when she can't remove her wedding ring prior to an assignation with Eddie. On the home front, Jackie and Grace take mother-daughter tap-dancing lessons. Pill-O-Matix Eddie is replaced by an automatic pill dispensing machine; Zoey administers the wrong dose of a painkiller to a movie critic, who lapses into a coma; the parents of the baby that Akalitus is raising come forward to reclaim their child. Health Care And Cinema Kevin invites Jackie to a midnight rendezvous in order to give her a new wedding ring; the comatose movie critic wakes up but his tastes have radically changed; Eddie learns the truth about Jackie's family; O'Hara's ailing mother is admitted.
