Reality Check New York meets with a potential manager, who sends her on her first auditions. The feedback she receives leads her to enroll in acting classes. Actress vs. Celebrity New York faces the challenge of working with a non-English-speaking director and crew when she signs on to do a commercial for a Japanese energy drink. Japanese Commercial Shoot Sister Patterson visits and starts acting like an overly controlling stage mother when she yells at her daughter's assistant, puts a photo shoot in jeopardy and insists on meeting New York's new manager. At the meeting, her behavior only gets worse. At Home With New York Stressing the importance of crossover appeal, New York's manager advises her to take singing lessons and perform backup vocals for an R&B group. But problems arise when Sister Patterson gets into a heated argument with members of the R&B group. Talk Show Appearance New York worries about a scheduled appearance on "Chelsea Lately." Later, acting class adds to her anxieties when she learns about a Shakespeare showcase and runs into romantic complications with her acting partner. Romeo And Juliet... And Tailor Made A surprise visitor disrupts New York's life and threatens to derail her new acting career. As the Shakespeare showcase draws near, New York tries to keep the drama out of her life and on the stage, focusing on delivering her best performance. Finale New York must decide between proceeding with an uncertain acting future or relying on her reality-show persona. Her decision is rendered more difficult by her budding romance with her acting partner, as well as elements from her past.
