The label's founder, P Diddy enlists the help of a dream team of industry heavyweights to help him decide. Episode 2 When the girls are told they will be the only ones performing this week, Melody bullies Laurianna come song selection time, Marissa chooses to go with something completely out of her element and Monet wows the judges with her rendition of Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold." Episode 3 The guys sing their first song selection; Jordan has a rough session with Laurie Ann; Monet feels disrespected by the girls. Episode 4 Angel and Melody grow increasingly irritated with Monet; Melody breaks down after the judges criticize her performance. Episode 5 One of the guys performs an original song for the judges. Meanwhile, things get heated between Melody and Jordan. Episode 6 Diddy surprises the hopefuls during a routine rehearsal; Liz breaks down after falling ill. Episode 7 The singers compete in a songwriting challenge, which sparks frustration and jealousy in the group. Also: Omotayo decides to make some life changes. Episode 8 Five hopefuls remain, and they're given a chance to write a melody for one of Rodney's originals. Later, there's a shocking double elimination. Episode 9 The final four are shaken up following the double elimination, and there's lots of tension when they face the media. Meanwhile, one singer's big mouth gets her in trouble with Johnny. Episode 10 The final three hopefuls have one last rehearsal with Laurie Ann and the house band before Diddy crowns the winner.
