Pilot
Adventure prevails when seven unique and eccentric families travel along Route 66 in RVs, through cities large and small, while competing in a medley of comical, clever challenges that will ultimately lead one family to victory. The series begins at Wrigley field and iconic American backdrops - from the Grand Canyon to the Hoover Dam - follow. Family fun is the centerpiece, but competition is the name of the game.

Gateway To The West
Six remaining families head out in their RVs from the arch of St. Louis and into the majestic Missouri countryside. The families experience the Meramec Caverns, a classic route 66 attraction, where the outlaw Jesse James once hid. Then on to Branson, Missouri where they perform skits in front of legendary stars Andy Williams and Yakov Smirnoff. Family fun ensues in the final challenge as the kids take control of their parents.

Heartland
The families leave Missouri and head out into the prairies of Kansas and Oklahoma to see buffalo and the actual setting of "Little House on the Prairie." The Dads must step up to the plate at the "King of the Road" BBQ challenge. The chefs whose burgers do not stand up to the family taste test will face the "End of the Road" challenge where one family's journey will end.

Road Warriors
When the five remaining families hit the "Mid Point" of Route 66 a messy pie-eating contest ensues. It's then on to the open road through the expansive Southwest stopping in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a hot air balloon ride. Next stop, the Meteor Crater in Arizona for the End of the Road Challenge... but it's not all fun and games as tensions mount and the families must confront some deep divisions surfacing among them.

Are We There Yet?
The families pack up and leave the Meteor Crater in Arizona and snake their way through the hot desert to the Grand Canyon. Stopping along historic Route 66, they get their feet wet at Slide Rock State Park before continuing into Sedona to experience "Desert Cuisine" and the mystical "Vortex." All are excited to see the Grand Canyon, but the elation is short lived when they realize that, if they don't win the "King of The Road" challenge, they have a one in three chance of going home.

Vegas Baby
The three remaining families take a detour off Route 66 to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas where they get a special performance by Penn and Teller. This leg of the journey also includes a trip to one of the man made wonders of the world - the Hoover Dam - where the families compete in The King of the Road challenge. The winners of the challenge then compete head-to-head for a night to remember in Vegas.

California Or Bust
The competition intensifies among the remaining three families as they cross into California and fight to secure a spot in the final two. As the end draws near and the stakes increase, rivalries amongst the families heat up. From Chicago to California, the they have had an amazing journey across America along Route 66, but now the pressure is on and they have their eye on the prize.
