The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious premiered on CW on March 6, 2007. The Search For The Next Pussycat Doll, by PCD founder Robin Antin, is a series that will give one lucky winner the chance to become a member of hit burlesque troupe and musical group The Pussycat Dolls. Out of thousands of applicants, only nine girls were chosen. In the series, the contestants will face multiple challenges, ultimately allowing them to grow as both artists and people. This is not a contest to find a "stripper," as the Dolls have been referred to before, but a real and serious dancer, as the six members of the Dolls are trained in various forms of dance. The winner will be added as the seventh member of the Grammy nominated girl group, as well as appear on the troupe's second album and head out on tour with them. The show was called The Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search For The Next Doll for the first season.
