Back To Pazsaz Entertainment Network's Sober House With Dr. Drew Page
Episode 1
As Dr. Drew's patients start to arrive at their new sober living house in the Hollywood Hills, a few of them worry about their ability to make it through all 30 days sober. The first to arrive, Amber Smith meets new House "mom," Jennifer Gimenez, and learns the rules the residents will be expected to follow which include a list of chores. Seth Binzer doesn't have a problem with chores nor does he with showing Jennifer that she's going to have her hands full with him. Luckily, Rodney King knows that his sobriety has to stick. He's run out of second chances.
Episode 2
It's day two in the Sober House and the cast is waking up on their first day. The residents have been rattled by last nights events and they gather around the kitchen table and discuss last night's events. Steven Adler arrived the day before with Heroin and needles in his pants. He claimed he had not worn them in 10 years. He was asked to spend the first night at Will's house so he did not infect the other residents. Jenn was NOT going to have drugs in the house. This causes a riff right away between Jenn and Steven. Steven did not hit it off with Jenn.
Episode 3
It's only the second night in the Sober House, and Steven was caught using heroin again. Steven is giving the choice to either go to Las Encinas, or be arrested. After refusing to go to Las Encinas with Will, Jennifer has no other choice but to call the police who show up and arrest Steven for possession. The next morning, while some of the cast members are discussing what happened, Bob and Steven's friends and wife meet at the court house where an bail bondsman, Dan Nesser, arrives to bail Steven out. But only on one condition, that Steven goes straight to Las Encinas, or back to jail.
Episode 4
It's several days after Steven's relapse. He's now completed treatment at Las Encinas and is asking to be allowed to return to the sober house. The other residents debate whether or not they even want Steven back at the house. They eventually come to the conclusion that they do want him back, but they want to make certain that Jennifer is okay with it first. The next day in process group, they share their feelings with Dr. Drew. Dr. Drew sits down with Steven's loved ones to discuss the situation. They've watched Steven's drug use for years but this relapse was it for them. They need him to commit to sobriety once and for all otherwise they won't be there for him. Dr. Drew makes it known that the only way Steven will be allowed back in the Sober House is if Jennifer, the house mom, allows him to return. Episode 5
It's day 10 in the sober house and there has been a second relapse. Amber Smith decided to go to a party in the prior episode and never returned to the house. It is now the next morning and Amber is sitting in front of the steps at the party she was at. She is still drunk and very unstable. Amber immediately goes to see Dr Drew for an emergency one and one session while still intoxicated. She discovered that she is also addicted to alcohol because she blacked out at the party. This is a harsh awakening for Amber. She is told to go back to the house and sleep off her hangover.
Episode 6
It's 3 am and Seth Binzer left a Hollywood night club and the rest of his cast mates. He never called Jenn to check in, and the residents have no idea where he has vanished. As the residents sit at the house and wait for either Seth to call or come home, Jenn receives a phone call from one of Seth's friends. She's instructed to get to a computer immediately. Seth is actually recording a live video of himself and broadcasting it over the internet for the residents to watch. Seth explains in the video that he had his heart broken by his manager David Weintraub who was talking badly about him. This is what triggered Seth to leave. The cast starts to panic while watching the video because he is clearly high and Seth admits to being drunk.
Episode 7
It's day 18 at the Sober House and everyone is on edge awaiting Seth's return from the PRC after his three-day drug and alcohol fueled relapse. What happened to Seth? What did he do for the three days he was missing? How will his return affect everyone at the house? Before Seth leaves the PRC he is given a tough talking to by Shirley, one of the PRC nurses, about his relapse and her hopes that he can maintain a sober lifestyle once he returns to the Sober House. Then Will and Seth board a van and are driven back to his anxiously awaiting friends. The mood is mixed as Seth bounds up the stairs and greets his sober comrades. Some, like Jenn, are just happy to have him there, knowing that he is safe and sound. Others, like Andy, are upset that Seth does not seem very remorseful about what he has done and the effect that it has had on the others in the house.
Episode 8
There are only a few days left in Sober House. The episode begins with Mary's decision to go to Swingfest. Everyone in the house thinks it's a bad and dangerous decision since Mary is going with David, her manager, who is less than supportive of her new sobriety. We briefly see her at Swingfest, and it is clear she is conflicted over her decision to go and is not having a good time. When Mary returns to the house a couple of days later, Seth tells Jen she better test her. Mary admits to Jen that she was tempted to use, but since she had a bad cold didn't. The tests are clean, but Mary admits to Jen that she feels as though she has "cheated" since she believes she would have used if she had been well.
Episode 9
The first-season finale.
