The Day Tammy Wynette Died, Part 1
Peggy is missing; her mental patient son Brother Boy is heartbroken to learn that Tammy Wynette has died; her grandson Ty, also in therapy, is nervous about auditioning for a gay play; and neighbors Noleta and G.W. fight because he wants to take off his prosthetic legs for sex.

The Day Tammy Wynette Died, Part 2
Tammy Wynette's ghost asks Brother Boy to carry on her legacy, and he has his first session with the new therapist, Dr. Eve. Meanwhile, bar singer and ex-con Bitsy Mae Harling introduces Peggy to the local bar, where she meets G.W.; Ty meets beautiful Jacob at the play audition and is confronted by Sara, his ex-girlfriend.

Pills, Poison And Penises
The family learns Brother Boy is in a coma, and Latrelle steals Valium while they are visiting him at the mental institution; G.W.'s legs are repaired after Noleta shot them; Juanita tries to enter a Willie Nelson radio contest that has been over for two years. Meanwhile, Noleta buys rat poison after threatening to kill G.W. or herself; and Sara walks in on Ty and Jacob naked.

Secrets And Lies
Bumper, the security guard, catches Latrelle stealing pills; Bitsy learns that Glyndora burned down her trailer (the crime that sent Bitsy to prison); G.W. thinks that Noleta has poisoned herself; Ty is confronted about his habit of lying; and Dr. Eve explains her dehomosexualization therapy to Brother Boy's family.

The Fall And Rise Of Brother Boy
Brother Boy is back on his feet; G.W. and Peggy begin sneaking around. Sissy and LaVonda are kept awake by the neighbor's pet goat, and Sissy takes matters in her own hands; and Ty meets Walker, an older gay neighbor.

Desperately Seeking Ty
Latrelle, LaVonda and Sissy get in a fight with Bumper, and Noleta joins the fray with a gun; a petition to close the bar circulates; Noleta discovers evidence of G.W.'s affair with Peggy; LaVonda catches Bitsy and Glyndora in the act; Sara refuses to accept that Ty and Jacob are a couple.

Call Waiting
Latrelle spies on G.W. at the motel, but it's LaVonda who pieces together the actual story of what's up between him and Peggy. LaVonda also hides the affair from Noleta, creates a cover-up to protect Patty and gets Latrelle to believe that she didn't see anything at the motel. And she plans a trip to Los Angeles to visit Ty.

An Audacious Affair
Bitsy and the bar gang decide to storm the church; Brother Boy negotiates with Dr. Eve to continue therapy; and Noleta is convinced G.W. is having an affair. Meanwhile, in L.A., Ty is trying to be honest with everyone, but Sara won't accept that he's gay.

Guess Who's Coming To Bubba's?
Bitsy addresses the church; Peggy explains why she took Bitsy in; and Brother Boy has trouble with Dr. Eve's tests. Meanwhile, no one has heard from Latrelle, so Sissy, Noleta and LaVonda try to find her.

Those Pesky Little Stalkers
Latrelle comes clean about her pill problem; Jackie, another mental patient, tells Brother Boy that she is digging a tunnel out of the institution; Sissy invites Latrelle to stay with her; Bumper sneaks into Latrelle's house to attack her; Ty is upset over Walker's death and Sara moves into Walker's apartment; and G.W. decides to get rid of Noleta so he can be with Peggy.

Compromising Situations
Ty tells Sara that he and Jacob are boyfriends and comes out to his best friend. Brother Boy and Jackie make a plan to get out of the institution by blackmailing Bumper. The Baptists picket the bar and Glyndora moves in with Bitsy after Ritchie beats her up. Latrelle is getting off the pills and Sissy decides to quit smoking. Noleta shoots G.W.'s ear so she can go with LaVonda to LA.

The Trip
LaVonda tells Noleta the truth about the affair, and they arrive in Los Angeles for the opening of Ty's play. Ty ruins his relationship with Jacob by cheating. G.W. proposes to Peggy. Bitsy shares her feelings with Glyndora as they are kidnapped by Ritchie. Latrelle gets off Valium, and Sissy confesses to killing the goat and is arrested along with Noleta. Brother Boy blackmails Bumper and he and Jackie make their escape.
