Code Of Silence Carlotta continues to dig into Simone and Star's past, while a familiar face seeks help from Jahil. Meanwhile, Miss Bruce prepares the salon for an upcoming hair show; and Gladys Knight is recruited to introduce the girls' showcase. New Voices The trio catch a glimpse of the local competition and decide to step up their game and revamp their style; Simone finds her mother's old tapes, of which Carlotta wants no part. Meanwhile, Star jeopardizes her new relationship, and Jahil winds up in a sticky situation. Mama's Boy At a neighborhood block party, Hunter surprises Star by inviting a superstar recording artist/producer to the event; Alexandra is forced to reexamine her dreams of stardom when her mother makes an irresistible proposal. Meanwhile, Jahil looks into a new opportunity; and Cotton meets with Pastor Harris in hopes of fixng the relationship with her mother. Alibi The Otis murder wreaks havoc on the beauty salon and threatens to destroy the family; additional information about Carlotta's troubled past is uncovered; Jahil faces an ultimatum; and Cotton moves out. Boy Trouble As the young ladies ready for Atlanta Next Fest, a shocking development jeopardizes them and their dreams. Meanwhile, Carlotta and Cotton remain at odds, but a revealed secret changes things forever and the girls get some shocking news. Saving Face Star and Hunter's relationship intensifies, while Rose shows up to help Alex and Derek in the aftermath of their traumatic experience.
