Pilot
The easy life quickly falls by the wayside when a decapitated, unidentifiable woman is found in a creek, which begrudgingly drags Jim Longworth off the golf course in pursuit of her killer. Complicating matters more is Longworth's relationship with Callie, a hot and savvy nurse he has an interest in. With a Titleist sitting on the fourteenth fairway waiting for him to break eighty for the first time in his life, Longworth needles, cajoles, and harangues everyone in his path, including his golf partner and department medical examiner, Carlos, as he puzzles out the facts surrounding the mysterious killing to try and identify the victim and bring her killer to justice.
Bird In The Hand
Jim Longworth takes Callie's son Jeff to a heavily-wooded area to collect bugs for a school science project. In the effort, they stumble upon an abandoned airplane with a dead body inside. The victim turns out to be a retired Special Ops guy who taught flight school lessons on the side to make extra money. The trail leads Longworth to a sexy graduate student studying exotic birds, a rich and powerful drug dealer and a pair of brothers who like joy-riding in airplanes, giving the Chicago P.D. transplant one complicated murder case.
A Perfect Storm
Longworth gets his first taste of a Florida hurricane, but instead of waiting out the storm, he gets swept up in a murder investigation that appears to be a spree killing and he must find the killer before there is another victim. Meanwhile, due to the storm, Callie and Carlos deal with a massive influx of patients at the hospital and a power outage leads Carlos and Daniel to take extreme measures in order to save lives.
Mucked Up
Jim is introduced to the intensely competitive world of Florida high school football as the small town of Pahokee prepares for the annual "Muck Bowl," an event that draws national attention because of the many NFL players who came from that area and who have played in that game. When the dead body of a businessman emerges from the muck in a sugar cane field days before the big game, Longworth must figure out who would want the man dead. Pohokee's star player appears to be the most viable suspect, but Longworth's boss, Colleen Manus, warns him not to cause a disturbance in Pahokee since the game means everything to the community. But Longworth is not going to let anything, not a little muck and certainly not a football game, stand in the way of getting the killer or killers.
The Girlfriend Experience
Longworth gets a nightmarish call from Daniel that Carlos has been found dead. Longworth is speechless and horrified at the site of his face-down dead body, but not as horrified as the real Carlos who is alive and pissed off. Thanks to his daughter's internet shopping addiction, he was the victim of identity fraud by the murder victim. Longworth tracks the victim to the fake-Carlos' girlfriend who is a social anthropology doctoral student who has many research subjects who are emotionally attached to her. Longworth tracks down each of her subjects in his quest to find the real killer.
Doppelganger
young lovestruck couple walk the beach, completely absorbed in one another, when a man with a serious head wound comes stumbling out of the brush, begging them to call police. The man, Dave Rollins, is taken to the hospital where Callie and two other orderlies move him towards the operating room as he struggles to remain conscious. In a moment of lucidity, Rollins whispers, "He shot her at The Back Stop - tell him, tell the cops if I die." He goes on to tell Callie that the killer looks identical to him before the surgical nurse intervenes, wheeling Rollins into the operating room.
Cassadaga
Sara Weston, a psychic in her mid-30s, sits at a table giving a reading to Britney Newhall, a professional-looking woman in her early 40s. Sara, holding Britney's hands, predicts that a man will be entering her life. Sara calls Britney a "curious soul" and tells her that she sees Chicago, but is unsure why. "Chicago" doesn't mean anything to Britney. Sara tells Britney that Cassadaga plays a big part of her life and she sees she has been there many times. During the reading, Sara flinches multiple times, almost as if in pain, but continues. Suddenly, she stops and the blood drains from her face. Sara abruptly tells Britney the reading is over.
Marriage Is Murder
Jim Longworth's latest victim is a well-dressed burly man, who appears to have been shot, stabbed, and possibly poisoned. Clearly, a lot of people had it in for this guy, who Longworth learns was a ruthless divorce attorney with a passion for making money, lifting weights, and riding motorcycles. Additionally, a scared Jeff calls Longworth for help when he thinks he sees a suspicious man lurking around his house at night.
Honey
Jim Longworth's latest case sends him to the famed Native American-owned Blues Rock Casino, a high-end gambling establishment filled with millions of dollars of rock 'n' roll memorabilia. When the head of the casino, a tribal elder, crashes through a skylight and lands on a roulette table, Longworth must figure out who is behind her mysterious death. Was it suicide or foul play? Jim's first hurdle is getting the smart and sexy Josie Tigertail, a tribal police officer, to allow the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to run point on the investigation. Meanwhile, Callie convinces herself she just wants to be friends with Longworth, but then is surprised when feelings of jealousy overtake her upon seeing Longworth interact with Josie.
Second Chance
A dead man in a swimming pool leads Longworth and Carlos to a Pompano Beach mansion, and then into the world of high-end horse breeding. Callie, who was once an aspiring jockey, becomes Longworth's secret weapon in the case as she shows him the ins and outs of this competitive and cut-throat world. Callie shows Jim a side of her he's never seen and the two grow closer than ever before.
Booty
A famed treasure-hunter is murdered, and the attention is immediately turned to the victim's famous uncle Big Jack Hasker, a legendary treasure hunter and adventurer. Longworth dives into this world of treasure hunting and discovers the victim was hot on the trail to uncovering the mythic Spanish ship, the Magdalena, which is believed to contain billions of dollars of booty. If Longworth can figure out whether or not the victim was actually close to uncovering the prize, maybe he will be able to find the real killer. While working the case, Longworth discovers Callie's passion for treasure hunting lore and guided by her passion and expertise, the two embark on an adventure that could change their lives forever.
Exposed
Longworth is called to a hotel to investigate the mysterious death of a beautiful young girl. It turns out that the dead girl was having an affair with a prominent Florida State Senator. When the senator's wife gets involved, things get really ugly as she is from a Kennedy-esque political family and will stop at nothing to clear her family's name and promote her husband's political career.
Breaking 80
A couple's golf game comes to a screeching halt when they stumble upon a dead body along the fairway. Doug, the victim, was the caddy and life-long friend of professional golfer Scott Winters, and was also recently released from prison after attempting to date-rape a professional female golfer. Things aren't adding up for Longworth as he investigates all the key players and discovers the victim may have served time for a crime he didn't commit. All the time on the golf course motivates Longworth to commit to finally breaking 80 on the greens. Meanwhile, Heather tempts Longworth with her grandmother's secret lasagna recipe and Callie stews over their relationship. Intern Daniel asks for a promotion.
