In another series first, a castaway refuses to accept an immunity clue and a shocking blindside at tribal sends another castaway home. One castaway sacrifices their own life in the game for a loved one. Meanwhile, this season of blindsides continues at a wild, unpredictable tribal council. Castaways find out if water could be thicker than blood as new tribes are drawn. Meanwhile, one castaway falls victim to a strategic blindside and the Coconut Bandit returns. The castaways play for immunity and fried chicken. Four members of each tribe are chained together at the ankles and must go through a series of obstacles to retrieve balls and chains in order to make bolas to toss onto rods. The two tribes merge and the winner at Redemption Island returns to the game. To win individual immunity, the castaways play a memory game. The castaways eat hard-to-stomach foods for a chance to win immunity; and attend two tribal councils where two players are sent to Redemption Island. The castaways hold onto individual ropes in an endurance challenge to win immunity and a food reward that includes burgers, hot dogs and soda. The castaways compete for immunity by holding a rope handle connected to a bucket carrying 25 percent of their body weight. At Redemption Island, three players stack colored cubes so that no color repeats on any side. The castaways play for immunity and an ice cream reward by balancing a ball on a pole. At Redemption Island, the three ousted players build a tower with blocks to stay in the game. The castaways must figure out a well-known "Survivor" phrase to win immunity and a food reward. At Redemption Island, three players retrieve keys to unlock a door to prevent being ousted. The final three castaways are determined and they attend tribal council where they are questioned by the jury. The winner is revealed as the 20 castaways reunite to discuss their experiences.
