Then, Meri and Christine's mom, Annie, go to Utah for a potential business opportunity. Mykelti, her moms and her fiancé, Tony, go wedding dress shopping, and he's very opinionated. Then, the Sister Wives go see the B&B Meri wants to buy in Utah, but worry it will pull her away. Later, Madison shows up with big news, leaving Janelle in tears. It's Mykelti's bridal shower, but Janelle is terrified of performing with the wives; Christine gets emotional as she cuts up her wedding dress to make cloth flowers for Mykelti's bouquet; and Maddie tells the family her big news. Meri has big news about what she wants to buy, although it's not what the Browns were expecting; and Mykelti's wedding rehearsal doesn't go quite as smoothly as planned. Mykelti's polygamist family ties the knot with Tony's Mexican Catholic family in a winter wedding. Mariah and her girlfriend are going to the March for Women in D.C. She invites Meri and Janelle to go as well, but Kody doesn't like the idea. The Browns are distraught that the Utah legislature is voting to strengthen the laws against polygamy. Friends are planning a protest march, but if the Browns go back to Utah they could be arrested. Janelle's house is all joy as Maddie has her baby shower, but Christine is devastated when Ysabel's X-rays show that her scoliosis is worsening and surgery is imminent. In desperation, they turn to unproven alternative treatments. Meri takes Kody to check out the B and B she wants to buy. Meanwhile, Janelle's daughter Maddie goes into labor, and she's doing a home birth with no epidural. Even as the wives bask in the glow of their first grandchild, tensions emerge. Meri found out that all the wives were at the birth, except her. Intense therapy sessions fail to resolve the hurt, so Christine confronts Meri with some brutal truths. The Sister Wives answer questions about polygamy, including how they feel about their kids not wanting to be polygamists; and whether some polygamists sleep in the same bed.
