Buffer Ian tries to play buffer, the unique sport played only at the school, but has trouble comprehending the game. The Rooks A secret society recruits Ian and Gabe, but Ian wants to investigate its motives before joining. Book Report Ian finds a strange book that contains secret escape plans. Election Gabe runs for vice president of the class and, in the process, discovers that he's lost his powers of persuasion. Soon, the other students lose their powers, too. Field Trip Ian is selected for special survival training in the forest surrounding the school, an area that is usually restricted for students. Dreams The gang have the same odd dreams about a yellow elevator, leading them to investigate and uncover how students are first brought to Tower Prep. Phone Home The group try to tap into a satellite in order to make a call. Elsewhere, Suki sees her brother, who she thought had died. Trust Ian suspects that Cal is a spy after Cal returns on the night of an escape attempt. Elsewhere, a group of disenfranchised students is discovered in the woods. Snitch Connor returns and claims to know how to get out of Tower Prep. Fathers Ian comes up with a plan to free Gabe and escape from Tower Prep.
