Union Square premiered on NBC on September 25, 1997. The series is about a diner in New York City. It is owned by Vince who has seen it all. Jack is the cook and an ex-con, Carrie is a waitress there, and Albie is a really bad, but funny, waiter. Regulars in the diner include Gabrialle, a newcomer to New York who is an aspiring actress; Michael, a playwright who is trying to find his big break; and Suzanne, a bitter divorcee.
