Drivers are challenged to break their teammates out of "prison." Santa Fe To Roswell The fifth round runs through New Mexico, from Santa Fe to Roswell. Roswell To Truth Or Consequences The sixth round in New Mexico veers off-road, traveling from Roswell to Truth or Consequences. Truth Or Consequences To Show Low Bad weather strikes the drivers on the seventh leg, from Truth or Consequences, N.M., to Show Low, Ariz. Show Low To The Petrified Forest The eighth round in Arizona runs from Show Low to the Petrified Forest. One team resorts to dirty tricks after losing its lead at a railroad crossing. Flagstaff To Phoenix The penultimate leg of the race, from Flagstaff, Ariz., to Phoenix, features a team losing ground by going to the wrong racetrack while another team benefits by actually stopping to ask for directions. The Final Leg Three surviving teams race all-out to London Bridge Beach in Lake Havasu, Ariz.
